Personality: Gabriel is an archangel and one of the first group of beings created by God. One would think that as an archangel he'd be responsible, caring and just. Nothing could be further from the truth with this guy. See, things in Heaven didn't quite go exactly to plan. The youngest of four brothers, he got to watch the two eldest dissolve into an argument. One brother- Lucifer - decided he hated God's newest creation; humanity. The whole thing became chaotic, Michael and Lucifer at each others throats, Lucifer being cast out of Heaven, it was all a bit much for the Messenger of God. Gabriel got so fed up with the in-fighting between his family, that he opted to leave Heaven and hide on Earth as a completely different being, known as the trickster. Gabriel actually managed to remain in that disguise until a few months before his death.

It's always easy to follow Gabriel's motif as the trickster. He's always happy to target people who are up themselves, or outright assholes, taking them down a peg (often fatally) in the most ironic of ways, such as killing an abusive husband with the incredible Hulk. Gabriel takes great pleasure in doing this, having evolved a wicked sense of humor during his millennia on earth. It makes the archangel quite the hypocrite, considering that he left Heaven over Lucifer's distaste for humanity, and there he is killing some of them off. Gabriel's very aware of how people work and will always exploit this when he's having his fun, happy to pull strings in the majority of cases. Even with Sam and Dean, every time he used his powers to bother them, it was always there just to prove a point.

"Helloooo? Trickster! Come on, I heard you two yahoos were in town, how could I resist?"

Gabriel does enjoy the "finer" things in life, always conjuring up things for himself to make life easier, be it women or a dog. He likes his sarcasm and tends to just enjoy his role as a trickster. He plays it up so well that other Gods know him as Loki and he's not going to prove them wrong. As far as Gabriel cares he's no longer an archangel and does not want anyone knowing it. As a person, Gabriel just comes across as a witty douchebag. As a trickster, he's still a witty douchebag, just with a killer sense of humor. He's normally found eating candy or chocolate, since that is a motif of a trickster, and likes to lead people up the merry path and around in circles until he gets bored of it. Gabriel also has the ability to plan ahead, and when executing some plans shows a lot of patience. In one episode he was able to kill Dean, resurrect the guy and then rewind time by one day so that Sam was caught in a groundhog day scenario where his brother died in different ways. It took over a hundred days apparently, showing Gabriel's dedication to that cause. He's also managed to fake his death successfully a total of three times. This archangel is not against pulling the wool over someone's eyes for his (or their) own good.

"My own, private, witness protection. I skipped outta Heaven, had a face transplant, carved out my own little corner of the world. 'Til you two screwed it all up. "

Underneath the trickster facade is a few other character traits that are a bit more serious than someone with powers just arsing around. Once it was revealed that the trickster was actually the archangel Gabriel, it started coming to light on how his mind worked. Gabriel loves his archangel family to a fault, unable to take a side when it comes to Lucifer and Michael and skipping out of town so he didn't have to deal with it. He's actually sided with the people, stating that outright to Lucifer that even though people seemed like scum and made mistakes, they had the ability to learn from them and forgive. He also realizes, after Dean points it out, that it was nothing to do with just feeling destiny was unavoidable. It was due to the fact that Gabriel wasn't able to stand up to his family and tell them they were wrong, and once Gabriel realizes that, he interferes to hold up Lucifer and let the Winchesters escape, letting them know how to retrap Lucifer before getting killed for his troubles.

Even though Gabriel can be serious when he needs to be, which is only really when his trickster gig is up, he prefers to fall back into that mode, calling people names and rolling his eyes at most opportunities. His entire attitude is very human thanks to the amount of time he's spent with them. A lot of other angels are standoffish, confused by the most mundane of things, or appear stern. Gabriel is the complete opposite of that, more than happy to make jokes and cultural references. This in turn helps Gabriel when it comes to teaching people their lessons, able to make them the most ironic of things due to knowing what makes humans tick.

Abilities/Powers:
Archangels have a lot of powers that I am more than happy to tone down if need be.

Reality manipulation: With his own will of mind, Gabriel is able to alter how things look and feel, able to fool anyone into thinking they are in a certain place or they are doing certain things. Gabriel is also able to use this skill to kill others, such as people being killed by alligators in the sewers, an abusive husband being killed by the incredible Hulk, or keeping Dean and Sam contained in television channels. This also involves items and anything dealing with perception. It's strength is more than that of a standard trickster, which in the end gives him away, but it's definitely Gabriel's trademark. He's even better at it than his brothers are, able to create entire pocket dimensions on a whim if he so desires.

Strength: Both spiritual and physical strength is high up on Gabriel's list. He is able to toss Castiel - an angel- around with the flick of a hand, whilst on the other side of the coin can lift Dean up with one hand and very little effort. Since Gabriel is an archangel of the Lord, that means he is even stronger than the standard angels, and above even the seraphim. He is on par with the other Archangels, and was even able to throw Lucifer with a wave of a hand through some doors too.

Teleportation: All angels can move faster than the human eye can see when moving from place to place, given away only by the echoing sound of wings in the absence they leave.

Chronokinesis: Gabriel is able to "flick forward" and find out what happens to himself. He was also able to trap the Winchester brothers in a time loop spanning one single day for around six months.

Telekinesis: The ability to move things around with his mind. This includes large objects and people. Gabriel is also able to exert pressure and cause damage. He particularly enjoys throwing his siblings around with this one.

Immortality: There are very few things that can kill an angel, and even fewer that can kill an archangel. Gabriel can only truly be killed with an angel blade.

There are a few other skills that are bog standard archangel. These include being able to sense if someone is a species other than human, and the smiting and exorcising of demons with a touch to the forehead. Possession is also a big angel thing, considering they cannot have their true forms walking around. It's not really something that will ever crop up with Gabriel though, since he's very much attached to his current vessel. Should the need ever arise, he would need permission first from the body he would be inhabiting.

Items/Weapons:
- Clothing
- Archangel Blade
- A few assorted chocolate bars that just happened to be in Gabriel's pockets at the time of his death.
