She was also quite thankful towards him when he came and saved her life, despite her initial brash greeting of him, because, hey, the last time they saw each other she laid the smackdown of a lifetime to his face. In fact, she was considered to be such a great leader, that the Fire Daimyo, her boss, was hesitant to replace a comatose Tsunade and bring in another kage. In other words: even a comatose Tsunade is still the best leader Konoha has to offer.
