We're so glad you're thinking of joining us in Haven, where we are all safe.

In order to apply for a canon character, please fill out the information below and post it in a comment in this entry. For an OC, please apply using the OC information. Please do not link to applications, all applications must be posted here. Please do not delete your applications; if you do not want it to be seen, you can request for it to be screened after a decision is made.

You may apply for two characters every application round, to a total of six characters. Only two of these may be from the same canon, and they cannot be too familiar with one another. Please make sure to mark the header of your comment(s) with RESERVED or NOT RESERVED, as well as the character name and canon. App challenges are not allowed currently.

Try to remember spelling and grammar are important, and in app length quality and not quantity is what matters. All parts of the application must be your own work, plagiarism will not be tolerated, though you are welcome to reuse your own old applications.

If you are asked for revisions, please don't panic! It doesn't mean the mods don't like you, only that we probably need more information before making a decision. If you are asked for revisions, you will have one week to supply them.

Applications are open on a monthly cycle, where they will be opened on the second Friday of every month for a week, and then processed on the third Friday of the month, before being closed again.

We now have a test drive community at haventest which is continuously open. Posts there may be used in lieu of a sample in the application. You may also link posts, logs, or threads from other games and memes in lieu of samples, though we ask that they be no more than one year old. As of November 22nd 2014, samples cannot be "where am I" intro posts. The reason for this is that we often find it hard to gauge characterization from those, as most people when immediately in a new surrounding are confused or frightened.

While we encourage players who have dropped to re-join us, we do not encourage the continual rapid dropping and re-apping of the same character in a short time period. You are welcome to request specific housing, and all attempts will be made to accommodate that request, but it may not always be possible.

I mean, there is this that I recently posted but I suppose I can just draft a first person sample! I do also have threads from Route that are under a year old (1, 2, 3, 4) Don't worry about the inconvenience, I understand and my apologies for spacing out so heavily! I am still in a world where I am thinking it's 2013. Oops.

[ Life is just hard. Not only has her illusions of grandeur shattered completely, revealing that her dream world was, in fact, a giant lie but her plan to prevent the world from falling into an eternal dream where no one has free will was a spectacular failure.

And, to make the headache even worse, Tsunade is now stuck in a place that's the entire opposite. She's been able to gather that this is reality, and boy does it suck. It's a desolate world where she's tortured, and no alcohol to make it remotely bearable. ]

All right, let me make sure I have this clear. [ She takes a deep breath. ] We've all been kidnapped and are scheduled to be tortured. Unless we resist, which we are usually punished for with torture. That's not to say that there isn't any progress, but just that progress is limited and has its consequences and, as a result, is extremely slow moving.

There's not enough supplies for a surplus, only enough for preservation and the place seems to be verging on collapse structurally. [ What a use of intelligence! Too bad, like most things in Tsunade's life, it doesn't last. Her voice starts to be overtaken by rage. ]

Where the hell is the nearest bar? Or a drink? After the past forty-eight hours, and for probably the foreseeable future, I fucking need one and I'm not lucky enough to find a bottle wherever I look. [ She pauses. ] We can work something out. I'm an expert medic, probably able to heal anything you ask. [ The last part crawls out of her mouth as a confident taunt, although to whom is not very clear. By this point, your character might be thinking she's probably just as fun to be around as Mr. Phillip. ]

Also, if any of you see a white slug with a blue stripe running down her back, don't be alarmed. Her name is Katsuyu and she wouldn't hurt a fly. Especially here, since there don't seem to be any, which, by the way, is weird. [ Isn't she just a peach??? ]
