We're so glad you're thinking of joining us in Haven, where we are all safe.

In order to apply for a canon character, please fill out the information below and post it in a comment in this entry. For an OC, please apply using the OC information. Please do not link to applications, all applications must be posted here. Please do not delete your applications; if you do not want it to be seen, you can request for it to be screened after a decision is made.

You may apply for two characters every two weeks, to a total of six characters. Only two of these may be from the same canon, and they cannot be too familiar with one another. Please make sure to mark the header of your comment(s) with RESERVED or NOT RESERVED, as well as the character name and canon. App challenges are not allowed currently.

Try to remember spelling and grammar are important, and in app length quality and not quantity is what matters. If you wish to request a specific apartment, please do so in the relevant part of the application. All parts of the application must be your own work, plagiarism will not be tolerated, though you are welcome to reuse your own old applications.

If you are asked for revisions, please don't panic! It doesn't mean the mods don't like you, only that we probably need more information before making a decision. If you are asked for revisions, you will have one week to supply them.

Every attempt will be made to place a character in their chosen apartments, though this may not always be possible depending on the slots available.

Applications are open constantly, but are only processed every other Friday at 7PM EST. The Saturday following acceptance, an IC mingle log will be posted for characters to be introduced to the game.

We now have a test drive community at haventest which is continuously open. Posts there may be used in lieu of a sample in the application. You may also link posts, logs, or threads from other games and memes in lieu of samples, though we ask that they be no more than one year old.

Abilities : Being a regular in strong team two times, Kuroko is considered lacking even in basic techniques of basketball, and is physically weak. His lack of presence is a strength, and based on his already lacking presence mixed with his sharp observing instinct, he could avert opponent's attention from him, making him easily steal the ball. This ability called as “Misdirection”, trademark move owned by Kuroko. Therefore with this, his passes are invincible and tricky. They could easily deceive his opponent. With that alone he could boost one team to take the advantage. Although, there is limit to his misdirection skill. He could only become 'invisible' for maximum 40 minutes long. And to certain players that are as good as him in paying attention to opponent's behavior and habit, his Misdirection won't work at all.

That being said, aside from Basketball topic, his critical analysis upon observing toward objects, reading through people’s behavior psychology and his cool head to progress those into a worthy useful plan could be considered his special talent, since it’s pretty useful, either that for inside or even outside Basketball. That, along with his mental strength and firm grip to his ambition. These abilities made him a formidable opponent that won't be easily taken down and could always gives twist to his problem with new innovation of tricks.

[Although his face remains with the same flat expression, inside, Kuroko starts to feel concerned about this. He has already sent a text to his internet provider, even convinced them that he needs his internet to be fixed immediately. Not necessarily, just that he has to check some Basketball websites. Even for Kuroko, tolerating the delays in work is kind of hard. Sure, he is quite patience. But this begins to surpass his limit.]

[Lucky for him, his cellphone suddenly rings. And it is an incoming call from his internet provider, probably calling for confirmation. Kuroko immediately presses the green button to answer the call.]

Yes, Kuroko here. Right, I requested the connection check.

[One could overheard mumbles the caller has when they speaks to him. It is unclear what their answer could be, but Kuroko frowned at it.]

Oh is that so..? please tell me more. I don't really get about this extended subscription package thing.

[The speaker answers him. This time it seems longer as if they are trying to explain thoroughly about their new service system. One can see Kuroko nods his head multiple times with a short "Oh" and "ok". ]

Ah..? No sir. I don't need the special access to Enka Channel .

[Another mumbles heard.]

No, I don't really need the Elite member account as well, thanks.

[And mumbles, yet again.]

Yeah, that one please. Sure. I'll be waiting and re-check my connection at 8 PM then.

[Kuroko replies politely, then he quit the call. The main screen of his cellphone appears, and it says "4PM" at the background. That means he still has to wait for 4 hours long. Kuroko looks around, trying to find something fun to do while he is waiting.]

Sample 2 :

For him, It was the same as usual, everyone in Seirin practiced hard during their break before joining another com. Of course, not only that. It is not Seirin if he doesn’t find Riko gave the team some expert practice and strategy advices in order to ‘cultivate’ every members, and then intimidate the entire team into most terrible practice system one would only find in their nightmare. Today was exactly the same.

In a synchronized wave, he could hear their desperation choir as Riko clapped her hands, satisfaction smile worn upon her face. But somehow he didn’t even bother at that time and no one asked his opinion as well. He was busy with his orange buddy—the Basket ball, trying to make his shot in. Well, it was dull as usual. He missed 6 out of 11 shoots. A weak sigh slid out from his mouth, but he continued to practice his 3 point shoot skill.

“Hm?”

He suddenly realizes that not everyone was in hype upon Riko’s new announcement—well, they exactly ain’t in hype truthfully. But this one man was definitely observing him, instead of blending with the other team members.

“Is there anything I can help you with, Kagami?”

Instead of pretending that he didn’t mind, he asked him frankly, straight faced. That red haired man, his best partner and the ace of the team just shrugged, as a reply. His expression definitely said ‘you’re the one needing help you mr. no-control'. However, Kagami should also knew already that Kuroko won't translate something like that. This small, lacking of presence guy was only tilting his head a bit and blinked, still no expression change.

And as Kagami sighed, Kuroko turned his attention back to his basic practice.

We are sorry but we are going to decline your application at this time.

The reason for that is because we feel that the issue of a large amount of grammar and syntax mistakes is still present even after the revisions have been submitted. Furthermore, Kuroko is a stoic character who already relies on introspection to be understood. A setting with strong emphasis on plot and horror that takes him out of his natural element completely would highlight that even further, lending to heavier and more serious scenarios that would require lengthier writing (as opposed to a stoic character in an easygoing setting, or an emotionally open character in a horror one). For these causes, we are unfortunately unable to accept this application, despite the fact that the personality section and samples demonstrate a good grasp on the character.
