We're so glad you're thinking of joining us in Haven, where we are all safe.

In order to apply for a canon character, please fill out the information below and post it in a comment in this entry. For an OC, please apply using the OC information. Please do not link to applications, all applications must be posted here. Please do not delete your applications; if you do not want it to be seen, you can request for it to be screened after a decision is made.

You may apply for two characters every two weeks, to a total of six characters. Only two of these may be from the same canon, and they cannot be too familiar with one another. Please make sure to mark the header of your comment(s) with RESERVED or NOT RESERVED, as well as the character name and canon. App challenges are not allowed currently.

Try to remember spelling and grammar are important, and in app length quality and not quantity is what matters. If you wish to request a specific apartment, please do so in the relevant part of the application. All parts of the application must be your own work, plagiarism will not be tolerated, though you are welcome to reuse your own old applications.

If you are asked for revisions, please don't panic! It doesn't mean the mods don't like you, only that we probably need more information before making a decision. If you are asked for revisions, you will have one week to supply them.

Every attempt will be made to place a character in their chosen apartments, though this may not always be possible depending on the slots available.

Applications are open constantly, but are only processed every other Friday at 7PM EST. The Saturday following acceptance, an IC mingle log will be posted for characters to be introduced to the game.

We now have a test drive community at haventest which is continuously open. Posts there may be used in lieu of a sample in the application. You may also link posts, logs, or threads from other games and memes in lieu of samples, though we ask that they be no more than one year old.

Abilities/Powers:

¤ Spontaneous Regeneration/Healing Factor; Cerberus experiments are known for being something like a “deathless army”. Angelika constructed the experiments to be able to fall and easily get back up in just moments flat. Even with a torn arm, a subject can grow an arm back when the healing factor kicks in. Though damage towards them, for example, a broken spine, or a point blank gunshot to the brain, will kill them. In Lily's case, it is proven that the healing factor is also unable to function properly when you literally tear them in half.

¤ Enhanced Strength; Just like the other subjects, Lily is incredibly strong. Though she appears fragile and small, she has more than enough the ability to tear and rip apart nearly everything that comes her way. This being proven when she rips out the muscles of an genetically engineered monster, when she breaks a fellow experiments arms (forearms each being the size of her waist) in order to get out of his hold, and even tore through part of a cement wall with just her fingertips.

¤ Enhanced Speed; Along with the key factors of the Cerberus Spine, the subjects also have abnormal speed. When Lily was backhanded and thrown to the wall by the monster stated before, her moment of rising up was only a brief second. In a blink of an eye, she had already found herself on the monster's shoulders and had been tearing away at its neck muscles.

¤ Weapons; Lily is a trained to kill, so she has experience with an overall wide range of weapons. From bows and arrows, swords, knives, to firearms (which was what the DOGS normally used). And due to the fact that the children were made to already know how to use these weapons, simply handing her one will only prove you that she knows how to properly use it in a few minutes.

Items/Weapons: A Mauser C96, her collar (since it can't exactly come off...), and the clothes on her back.

Sample Entry Two:

The buzzing of the alarm clock wakes Lily up in a fright. That first intake of breath startled her, and sure enough her heart rapidly beat against her chest as she turned to the unfamiliar faces that occupied the room along with her.

She was... alive. But what concerned her most was the fact that she was alone. Lily can still remember the events clearly, the dismembered and bloodied bodies that surrounded her and Haine as he held her for the last time, along with the pain that shot through the top half of her body when he had twisted her spine. There was no point of her to reach up to her neck to see if the collar still remained, because the weight of it was the only thing that was familiar to her at this point and time.

The alarm clock continued to ring, and someones comment of turning it off snapped the child back to reality, to where she flustered with the device in her small hands for a moment until randomly pressing a button for it to stop.

Placing the clock back onto the table beside her, Lily slowly crept out of the bed and glanced around the room. She searched the other individuals necks, making sure that she was not just brought back to life to be put into another experiment.

And that's when it hits her. Why was she, an enhanced monster brought back to life and not the ones who were far more capable of control? Why was she given the ability to breathe once more and not all the other children who were forced into the haunting experience? There was no reason for her to be here, no reason at all... and glancing outside the window, she saw the first glimpse of the outside world --

In ruins.

Was this what the outside world was like? It reminded her too much of the rooms where she and the other children were forced to kill enhanced monsters that their "Mother" had created for them. Lily took in another deep breath as the memories of blood shed crossed her mind. She was still out of control, still a monster who would fade into black and wake up in that crimson red, and...

"I'm scared..."

She was most terrified of being alive.
