We're so glad you're thinking of joining us in Haven, where we are all safe.

In order to apply for a canon character, please fill out the information below and post it in a comment in this entry. For an OC, please apply using the OC information. Please do not link to applications, all applications must be posted here. Please do not delete your applications; if you do not want it to be seen, you can request for it to be screened after a decision is made.

You may apply for two characters every two weeks, to a total of six characters. Only two of these may be from the same canon, and they cannot be too familiar with one another. Please make sure to mark the header of your comment(s) with RESERVED or NOT RESERVED, as well as the character name and canon. App challenges are not allowed currently.

Try to remember spelling and grammar are important, and in app length quality and not quantity is what matters. If you wish to request a specific apartment, please do so in the relevant part of the application. All parts of the application must be your own work, plagiarism will not be tolerated, though you are welcome to reuse your own old applications.

If you are asked for revisions, please don't panic! It doesn't mean the mods don't like you, only that we probably need more information before making a decision. If you are asked for revisions, you will have one week to supply them.

Every attempt will be made to place a character in their chosen apartments, though this may not always be possible depending on the slots available.

Applications are open constantly, but are only processed every other Friday at 7PM EST. The Saturday following acceptance, an IC mingle log will be posted for characters to be introduced to the game.

We now have a test drive community at haventest which is continuously open. Posts there may be used in lieu of a sample in the application. You may also link posts, logs, or threads from other games and memes in lieu of samples, though we ask that they be no more than one year old.

[ when the video appears, it seems to be an accident, whoever is on the other end fumbling with the phone a bit and cursing behind it. after another moment or two it straightens out, and there is a head of blonde hair and a very dangerous glare. ]

Not sure what the hell is going on, but it needs to end. Now. [ jo pauses, takes a breath and tries to calm herself down a little. she doesn't seem too...what's the word. surprised? it's not like this city is too different from how carthage looked. a little dirtier, maybe, and more twenty eight days later, but she's not really one to judge. not when she's got things to do, places to be. people to find. ] I was- I was in the middle of something. [ her hand subconsciously rubs at the scar on her side, deciding not to mention how totally freaked out she is about that being healed and all. ] So whether this is hell or heaven or whatever, send me back.

[ and with that, she fumbles a little bit more, trying to find the off switch to whatever screwed up kind of phone this is supposed to be. but right before she clicks it, there's a pause, and she comes back into focus again. ]

Sample Entry Two:

She was waiting for the explosion. That was the last thing she remembers - her mother whispering comforting words to her and her eyes closing and waiting for the boom.

Which is why, when there's a shrill beeping noise, she jumps. Jumps hard, too, a sort of rocketing feeling shooting through her entire body, and her eyes shoot open and her legs jump up and- wait. Wait. Her legs, she can feel them. She can feel her legs and that's what makes her sit up, really. And kind of holds all of her attention for a moment there, because she can feel them. Move them. Stand up, if she really wanted, and in that excited daze she turns to her mother, starts in a whole "Mom loo-" before she realizes exactly where she is. Or more importantly, where she's not.

If anything, she expects rubble. Rubble, or, maybe if she's in Heaven (or Hell) something a little more...well. Not like the inside of a hospital, for one. Which then leads her to actually walk around (because she can, she can walk), check out the room. The beds, just like her's, the bathroom, and when she makes it over to the window and sees he billboard, she suddenly realizes how off this is. Wrong. How much she needs to get out of her. "Mom?" Her voice sounds a little more shrill, a little more panicked, now. Because they're not in ~~Kansas~~ Missouri anymore, and she needs to get out.

"Dean? Sam? Mom!" But the people around her aren't the ones she's looking for. Rather, they look just as confused and lost as she does, and that panic starting out slow in the pit of her stomach is starting to rise. She sprints for the door, slides out into the hallway, and starts off down through the doors, checking each room just to make sure. They have to be here somewhere, wherever somewhere happens to be.
