We're so glad you're thinking of joining us in Haven, where we are all safe.

In order to apply for a canon character, please fill out the information below and post it in a comment in this entry. For an OC, please apply using the OC information. Please do not link to applications, all applications must be posted here. Please do not delete your applications; if you do not want it to be seen, you can request for it to be screened after a decision is made.

You may apply for two characters every two weeks, to a total of six characters. Only two of these may be from the same canon, and they cannot be too familiar with one another. Please make sure to mark the header of your comment(s) with RESERVED or NOT RESERVED, as well as the character name and canon. App challenges are not allowed currently.

Try to remember spelling and grammar are important, and in app length quality and not quantity is what matters. If you wish to request a specific apartment, please do so in the relevant part of the application. All parts of the application must be your own work, plagiarism will not be tolerated, though you are welcome to reuse your own old applications.

If you are asked for revisions, please don't panic! It doesn't mean the mods don't like you, only that we probably need more information before making a decision. If you are asked for revisions, you will have one week to supply them.

Every attempt will be made to place a character in their chosen apartments, though this may not always be possible depending on the slots available.

Applications are open constantly, but are only processed every other Friday at 7PM EST. The Saturday following acceptance, an IC mingle log will be posted for characters to be introduced to the game.

We now have a test drive community at haventest which is continuously open. Posts there may be used in lieu of a sample in the application. You may also link posts, logs, or threads from other games and memes in lieu of samples, though we ask that they be no more than one year old.

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

Abilities/Powers: In order to make this as simple as possible, I'll be breaking down Hazama's abilities into three categories. These categories are his own abilities, his Nox Nyctores' abilities, and his ghost form's abilities.

Hazama himself possesses a wide variety of skills and abilities, even without the aid of his ghost form and Nox Nyctores (a very powerful and dangerous type of weapon). Aside from his notable strength, speed, and endurance, he is also quite agile and flexible. When fighting, his moves are quite similar to a dancer's and as such he is very good at dodging and countering other people's blow. However, that isn't all he has. In addition to these skills, Hazama also is able to manipulate a green and black energy to increase his blows or to shoot at the opponent like a projectile and is quite adept at using a wide variety of knives, though his favorites are throwing knives and Balisong-style butterfly knives. Finally, he has access to his own Azure Grimoire, which, when activated, is able to boost his powers by a considerable amount and summons a magic circle around him, which drains the life of anyone too close to him.

His Nox Nyctores, Geminus Anguium: Ouroboros or Ouroboros for short, is basically a chain of an indefinite length that has a snake-like head at the top and a blade at the end, though the blade is rarely ever used. Hazama has the ability to summon the weapon out of a small portal, but the portal must be close to him, otherwise he is unable to use it. As for abilities, besides stabbing, grabbing, and throwing/pulling in his opponent, Hazama can also use Ouroboros to dash around an area by shooting the chain out, then reeling his part back in and flinging himself forward. As a bonus, Ouroboros has the ability to mess with the mind of the person it touches, should the owner will it so. It can't do too much however. Basically the things it can do are bring out the negative emotions a person possesses (anger, hatred, sadness, etc) as well as negative memories. It's a nasty little thing, but it does have its limits.

The final category, as stated beforehand, is his ghost form. When Terumi is driven out of his body, he is able to take on the appearance of a ghost, his "true form". Even though he certainly does look human, Terumi is actually a ghost possessing, or rather having merged with, an artificial body created specifically for him. Anyway, in his ghost form he is actually solid, so he can touch and effect things at will, but he also can be hit. He has most of the abilities in this form that his Hazama state has, supposedly, but he also has a few new ones. They are the ability to temporally possess people and to consume the memories of people he's possessing.

Thanks to Hazama being quite a powerful individual, I will be putting up a permission's post for his abilities and if they need nerfed I'm totally fine with that.

Ouroboros, the snake-like chain weapon he uses.
His Knives that he keeps stored in his coat. 2 Balisong-style butterfly knives and 8 throwing knives.
The Imitation Azure Grimoire he possesses.

Sample Entry Two: There were a lot of preparations to be made before Kusanagi could make her big debut. The pillar in front of the altar needed to be placed just right, all the sacrifices needed to be in the building, and of course, let's not forget dear little Noel Vermillion. As Hazama stood at the altar, surveying the recently-placed pillar, his mind wandered. Noel Vermillion...yes, yes she was indeed a very special part of this operation. Without her, none of this would be possible. It was kind of funny really.

"Keh...heheheh..."

Oh who was he kidding, it was a friggin' laugh riot. Cute little Noel Vermillion, the failed Number 12 of all things...actually inherited the Azure. Not even Relius saw that one coming. It was just so unexpected that he had to laugh. Even now he couldn't believe it. Despite all the timeloops he'd been through...despite possibly knowing about it beforehand...it was just that shocking. Such an...uninspiring girl, gaining that much power. Poetic irony at its finest.

Ah well. He supposed it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things. With the pillar being in place snug as a bug in a rug, that meant one of the girls from the office would be here any second no-

"Ah...Captain Hazama, sir?"

A smile graced his lips as the young woman, her voice shaky and unsure, called out to him. Right on time. He turned around to face her. "Yes? How may I help you?"

"Well...it's just that Colonel Relius has requested to meet with you."

His response was a nod. "Ah, the good ole' colonel is paying me a visit? I'm touched, truly I am. Tell him to meet me in my office in an hour, if you would? I have some...ah...things to take care of, first."

The woman nodded and went on her way. Hazama then turned to the pillar once she was out of earshot. The formerly polite smile gracing his features turned more fierce; serpentine in appearance. And then...he cackled like a madman. Loud and hard.

"Welp! Time to get this show on the road, ahahahahaha!"
