We're so glad you're thinking of joining us in Haven, where we are all safe.

In order to apply for a canon character, please fill out the information below and post it in a comment in this entry. For an OC, please apply using the OC information. Please do not link to applications, all applications must be posted here. Please do not delete your applications; if you do not want it to be seen, you can request for it to be screened after a decision is made.

You may apply for two characters every two weeks, to a total of six characters. Only two of these may be from the same canon, and they cannot be too familiar with one another. Please make sure to mark the header of your comment(s) with RESERVED or NOT RESERVED, as well as the character name and canon. App challenges are not allowed currently.

Try to remember spelling and grammar are important, and in app length quality and not quantity is what matters. If you wish to request a specific apartment, please do so in the relevant part of the application. All parts of the application must be your own work, plagiarism will not be tolerated, though you are welcome to reuse your own old applications.

If you are asked for revisions, please don't panic! It doesn't mean the mods don't like you, only that we probably need more information before making a decision. If you are asked for revisions, you will have one week to supply them.

Every attempt will be made to place a character in their chosen apartments, though this may not always be possible depending on the slots available.

Applications are open constantly, but are only processed every other Friday at 7PM EST. The Saturday following acceptance, an IC mingle log will be posted for characters to be introduced to the game.

We now have a test drive community at haventest which is continuously open. Posts there may be used in lieu of a sample in the application. You may also link posts, logs, or threads from other games and memes in lieu of samples, though we ask that they be no more than one year old.

Abilities/Powers:

While Clover is extremely good at math and in top physical condition because of her training with the SOIS, there is only one thing that sets her apart from a normal human, and that is her ability to access the morpogenetic field. The morphogenetic field is a metaphysical plane that exists separately from the human world, where thoughts and information is stored. It is thought that the morphogenetic field is the reason many things happen; trends arise in humans, group thinking, etc.

Clover is called an 'ESPer' because she's able to communicate via this morphogenetic field with other ESPers. It's like telepathy, in that she's able to send ideas and other vague messages, but not able to hold a conversation. It's similar to the movie Inception, where she implants things in to other people's minds. Clover excels and being a transmitter, meaning she's better at sending messages than receiving them.

Luck. It always seemed like something she lacked. No matter what, Clover was always getting involved in unnecessary predicaments. Ending up in Haven was just another to add to the laundry list. She should have known better, to think that they could just jump through the number 9 door and magically be back home, in bed, with her family — With Snake, the brother she hadn't been able to get in to contact with for the bast 12 or so hours. She'd lost count.

This place was scary, weird, and decrepit, but the scenery is hardly what spooks her; after all, she's seen worse. She's seen the remnants of a human that literally exploded. Twice, in fact. Nothing, she thought, could ever compare to that. Some hanging trees and desolate buildings wouldn't shake her resolve.

I've got to get home, The thought resonates in her head. I've got to find Alice and the others! I can't give up now!

This was a setback, of course, but it wasn't the end; not until she was dead, and she wouldn't lie back and be trapped for forever. She'd make it out alive. She'd reunite with her brother and Alice and the others. They would make it back home, so that they could lie in their own beds. It's what they all deserved after all they'd been through.

Clover pulls up the small bucket from the well, full of stagnant water, and takes a full gulp. It had been a while since she'd had anything to drink. She'd almost forgot that eating and drinking were necessary parts of life. Even though the water tastes horrible and bland, she lets out a satisfied sound, then sits on the edge of the well. "Question is.. where do I even start?" Clover surveys and scans the land with her eyes, letting them sweep over every hill and corner. "It doesn't matter.. I'm going to get out of here."
