Applications Two

APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED!
The next application opening date is Friday 16th January, 7pm EST.
The next application processing date is Friday 23rd January, 7pm EST.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE POST YOUR APPLICATIONS HERE ON THE NEW APPLICATION PAGE

We're so glad you're thinking of joining us in Haven, where we are all safe.

In order to apply for a canon character, please fill out the information below and post it in a comment in this entry. For an OC, please apply using the OC information. Please do not link to applications, all applications must be posted here. Please do not delete your applications; if you do not want it to be seen, you can request for it to be screened after a decision is made.

You may apply for two characters every application round, to a total of six characters. Only two of these may be from the same canon, and they cannot be too familiar with one another. Please make sure to mark the header of your comment(s) with RESERVED or NOT RESERVED, as well as the character name and canon. App challenges are not allowed currently.

Try to remember spelling and grammar are important, and in app length quality and not quantity is what matters. All parts of the application must be your own work, plagiarism will not be tolerated, though you are welcome to reuse your own old applications.

If you are asked for revisions, please don't panic! It doesn't mean the mods don't like you, only that we probably need more information before making a decision. If you are asked for revisions, you will have one week to supply them.

Applications are open on a monthly cycle, where they will be opened on the second Friday of every month for a week, and then processed on the third Friday of the month, before being closed again.

We now have a test drive community at [community profile] haventest which is continuously open. Posts there may be used in lieu of a sample in the application. You may also link posts, logs, or threads from other games and memes in lieu of samples, though we ask that they be no more than one year old. As of November 22nd 2014, samples cannot be "where am I" intro posts. The reason for this is that we often find it hard to gauge characterization from those, as most people when immediately in a new surrounding are confused or frightened.

While we encourage players who have dropped to re-join us, we do not encourage the continual rapid dropping and re-apping of the same character in a short time period. You are welcome to request specific housing, and all attempts will be made to accommodate that request, but it may not always be possible.

To see what we are looking for:

Sample Entry Two:
Waking up in a new area didn't bother her at all. It was different, weird definitely - but it wasn't the worst place she has ever woken up in. It didn't look that bad, even if it was very run down; there's lots of room to play, and many to play with and really, she can't argue with that. Even if her clothes kept getting full of holes and needed mending near-constantly, she could live with that.

What Noki couldn't live with was being here without Luki. She and Luki should have never been separated, they were meant to be together, forever. They were the Hardcore Twins, trailing blood behind them wherever they went. Without Luki, Noki wasn't whole. It was hard to enjoy all the games that were played here without Luki; leaving bloody messes behind without her wasn't nearly as fun as it was when she was with her. It was discouraging, made everything twice as boring.

Even so, there were ways to keep mildly amused, Noki had learned that fast enough. Down in the tunnel, there were plenty of things to play with that she wouldn't get punished for killing. She could play down here to her heart's content - and it was even more fun when she decided not to use her weapon. Playing while handicapped always made it more exciting. There were few things down here that really caught her off guard, now. The few times she found something that could, it excited her even more. A large gash in her side caused by some headless nurse, almost losing a leg to some thing with scissors; it wasn't terribly painful, and she made sure to guard her prosthetic arm, just in case something tried to go after that! As long as that didn't break, it was all in good fun.

After all, this was what she was built for. Endless combat, fighting and killing - it was in her blood, written into every cell of her body. If there was anything that could take her mind off the loss of her sister, anything that could keep her ( albeit temporarily ) amused, it was this.

Personality: The most apparent thing about Inigo that anyone would notice in a matter of mere moments is that Inigo loves girls. Really, really badly. He's shown to be flirting with girls all the time in game and all his supports with girls (except for his sister, if he has one in the playthrough) are based on him flirting with girls. Heck, even his supports with male characters tend to center around it. The very first time we see Inigo in the game he's already flirting with a girl and telling her he'll take out some bandits to help her out (and he's clearly hoping for a reward that isn't necessarily money). He never seems to be lucky in any of his endeavours with girls though and gets rejected and slapped all the time. Even so, Inigo seems to be unable to take no for an answer, both when it comes to girls and to other things. Even when a girl clearly shows no interest in him and rejects him, he still tries to flirt with her again and again (this is especially apparent in his supports with Kjelle and Severa). He also harasses Gerome over his mask and despite the guy obviously not wanting to take it off, Inigo just grabs it and takes it. He can be fairly obnoxious in this regard and can also come across as extremely self-centered and even childish. This also shows in the way he can be slightly unpolished sometimes, like how he uses the sword that's the heritage of the royal family to cut an apple or when he says the best part about wielding that sword would be that girls would probably be into it (when he's Lucina's brother). Often it seems like he has a complete one track mind that only seems to think of women and how to score with them. Inigo also acts overconfident most of the time, especially when it comes to trying to impress girls. When a girl suggests he might be killed by a group of bandits he completely waves off the idea with a smile and says: "Don't be silly. I'd never let anyone ruin this perfect face."

Inigo is not nearly as cool as he'd like to make himself seem though. He's a pretty emotional kind of guy and it definitely shows, he completely sucks at holding back his emotions. When Inigo feels something, it seems to show immediately, like how he's easily startled and will scream when he's approached out of nowhere or when Gerome's wyvern seems to get mad at him ("K-Keep her away from me! I'm too young to be mauled!") and how he easily gets worked up and will start getting grumpy and pouty over someone at the slightest thing (he calls Gerome stupid just since the guy watched him dance in secret and often gets mad or sarcastic at another guy when they score more easily with girls than him). He also cries easily - he says he's a mess for days after girls turn him down and in his supports with Gerome he actually starts crying since he says he tries to hard to get girls and then Gerome comes along and all he does is being mysterious with a mask and gets all the girls without effort while Inigo keeps getting rejected. Often he will try to cover up his emotions with his womanizer front when he wants to seem cool, but he isn't particularly good at it. He can't convincingly tell a lie or cover anything up - Brady notes this at one point when he tells Inigo: "If you'd be anymore transparent, you'd be invisible." He just seems to be the kind of guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. This stems mostly from the fact that despite the way Inigo acts, he's actually shy under it. The reason he even flirts with girls so much is since he was really shy as a kid and his mother told him he'd get over his shyness by talking to a lot of girls.. which he ended up taking too far and making him into the Inigo we see flirting with girls all over the place. Even now sometimes his shyness is shown though, like when he talks to his mother for the first time in the game and starts blushing because she shouldn't "look at me so intently, it makes me bashful". After that the conversation practically boils down to an out-shying competition with his mother where he literally tells her he's shyer than her and she says she's shyer while they both blush.. even Chrom can't take the secondhand embarassment from seeing it. Inigo is also really shy when it comes to his true dream, which is being a dancer like his mother. But people don't really like male dancers so it's a pretty embarassing dream and he only dares to practice dancing at night when he sneaks out of the camp to do it. He sometimes even spaces out in the middle of battle and imagines himself dancing. He's really self-conscious about his dream though and whenever someone confronts him about it, he just completely freaks out.

It has to be said though that while Inigo seems that simple, some of his support conversations reveal there's a lot more to him. Most of his overconfidence is just a farce, it's him overcompensating since he's actually pretty insecure (which is probably tied to his underlying shyness). He can't help but compare himself to others all the time and think he's worse than them. He can also sometimes get serious instead of his acting like a loser in his supports and think about his duty, but it's clear that he just prefers not thinking and acting that way. At one point in his support with Lucina (when they are siblings) he doesn't really want to get serious about wielding the Falchion (the royal sword) since it means practicing for when she'd die and he would have to use the sword instead. Inigo is the type who doesn't want to think about bad possibilities or about the people he cares about dying (again) and instead have fun in the present, even if it, as he acknowledges himself, might be cowardice. And that doesn't just apply to himself, it stretches to all the people around him as well. Often he's seen telling people to smile - he's optimistic and wants people to forget about the war for a moment and be able to have fun too. As a kid he made a promise with Brady to use whatever talents they had (dancing and violin playing, respectively) to make other people's lives easier. His attitude seems a little strange though considering his background: he comes from a grim future that consisted of mainly just running and fighting and where his parents died. His parents in the original timeline wonder about this too and question him about it, like in his support with his father. ("For someone who came from an apocalyptic hellscape, you're awfully carefree. Seems like you haven't a care in the world past whose bed you'll be sharing tonight.") But the reason he keeps smiling and joking around and flirting with girls and generally just having fun and making other people have fun is exactly because he comes from that sort of place. He never was allowed to show weakness in the future, so he can't show it now either. People were depending on him to be strong, so he had to be strong and pretend he was fine all the time even when he wasn't. He hides his weakness through acting like some carefree idiot (although part, if not most, of it just really is his personality beyond the hardship) even when he feels pain. As he tells his father in their support:

"You may think me a dandy and a fool, but a lot of people depended on me in the future. Every day, I was out there fighting Risen and risking my life. With everyone looking to me to be strong, I had no choice. I HAD to be invincible. I couldn't complain or show any weakness. Not with everyone else struggling in that damn war-torn wasteland... Even with you and Mother gone, I had to pretend I was fine. That I wasn't hurting. I had to fight every day of my sorry life and wear a smile while I did it! ...You said I looked like I didn't have a care in the world? Well, I'm sorry to tell you, but that's not the case at all. I smile and joke around because I don't want to show the world any weakness... If that disappoints you...then I guess you just have to be disappointed."

It's also then mostly in battle that Inigo's serious side shows more and the strength he has in enduring his own pain and not showing it to others, that he can be strong for their sake. Despite the way he might act outside of battle, he's not a selfish person in the end and is willing to do anything for the people he cares about. He's even willing to sacrifce his own life for the sake of his friends' since he just doesn't want to let alone die or leave anyone behind. This mostly shows in The Future Past 2, where he doesn't want to let Owain hold off the Risen by himself so their friends can escape, so despite the fact that Inigo could have run away, he instead stays with Owain and fights by his side, fully knowing it might mean his own death. It also shows that Inigo isn't a coward when it comes down to it, he never hesitates on heading into battle.

Outside of battle we see that Inigo is much less serious and more of his idiot self once more though as if all of his courage is forgotten, like when he freaks out every since time Minerva roars at him or (in Lucina's sibling support) when he spots a bug and is actually scared of it.

Abilities/Powers: Inigo is seasoned in battle. His in-game class is Hero (the upgraded form of his original Mercenary class), which is a class that fights with swords and axes and has fairly balanced stats with nothing in particular standing out. It means he's good with a sword or axe (a little better with the former than the latter though), enough to face and often kill bandits and other warriors in battle.

The special skills he knows thanks to his class are:

- Armsthrift, which makes weapons last longer and break less easily.
- Patience, a skill that increases the chance of hitting the enemy and avoiding the enemy's attacks when the enemy is the one initiating an attack.
- Sol, a skill that activates based on skill stat (let's say about a third of the time) and makes the user recover health (HP) equal to the damage they delivered to the enemy.
- Axebreaker, which gives a higher chance of hitting the enemy and avoiding their attacks when said enemy is using an axe.
- Luck +4 (inherited from his mother), which.. well, makes the luck skill higher, pretty much what it says on the tin. Luck is the stat the influences your chance of getting hit (making that lower) or hitting the enemy (making that higher). So in other words, with all of this considered he's pretty nimble in battle.

Items/Weapons: A steel sword, his mother's ring and dignity a Concoction which is basically a healing potion with limited use.

Sample Entry:

[ As Inigo starts his "broadcast" over the phones, he's already chuckling a little to himself, the grin on his face so wide it might as well be blinding. Sure, he might have been here in this place for a while already, but that doesn't hinder him from doing this kind of thing all the same. No matter what the nature of this place is. He's got to make a good impression even if it's a late one, right? ]

Dear ladies of Haven! Allow me to finally make my introduction, if you would forgive me for being so late. [ Yes, he's knowingly ignoring half of the population here.. ]

My name is Inigo, although "man of your dreams" might be appropriate as well.. [ Yes, he's being serious, even if he's still smiling his face off. ] But I will allow all of you beautiful creatures to call me that. I would not entirely be opposed to "darling" either, so feel free. I have to say I have seen quite a few of you around the village already and because of that I can hardly walk around without being simply astonished by all the beauty surrounding me! All of you will have to go a little more easy on me before I pass out!

[ That's.. probably more than just a little exaggerated, but Inigo is always over the top when it comes to these kind of things. How he can say all those corny things with a straight face is anyone's guess. He pulls his hand through his hair. ]

Perhaps that could be done through a little bit of.. alone time. [ He he. If you know what he means. You do know, right.. ] Now, now, no need to line up! I can assure you that each and every single one of you will get their turn, and I shall devote all of myself towards making sure you will get my full attention. So what do you say..?

[ Inigo, do you really expect to get any enthusiastic reactions to that.. ]

Sample Entry Two:

He knew it was dangerous. Sure, even though it might not be as dangerous in this time as it was in the future with the Risen all over, there were still threats to take into account even in this time. Bandits, their direct enemies, even some Risen as well..

It was why sneaking out of the camp at night probably wasn't the best idea. But there was hardly enough space in his tent to practice without knocking things over or running into a wall at least three times. He had tried already and it hadn't exactly been easy to provide an explanation for the bruise on his forehead the next day, mostly since he wasn't a very good liar. Not to mention that he was deadly afraid that any other member of the group would waltz right into his tent while he was in the middle of a dance. How would he ever survive that kind of embarassment? So after that time he decided it would be for the best to not practice in there anymore. But that left the question of where he could find a good place to practice. Even at night, there would be people around the camp who weren't able to sleep or had something urgent to do and during the day there would definitely even be people outside of the camp. Outside of the camp at night would be the only place with no people, huh? The only things to deal with would be bandits. Maybe Risen. Maybe-- okay, so maybe there were a lot of potential dangers. But somewhere in Inigo's head dealing with danger actually sounds a whole lot better than dealing with the embarassment of people seeing him dancing. Not like he was scared of those bandits, right?! What's an arrow in your shoulder compared to the humiliation of your secret hobby being known to everyone?!

.. Well, maybe he was a little nervous. By the time he actually left the camp and was surrounded by the darkness he had to gulp to himself at least. Not like he wasn't used to being by himself or fighting alone, but even so.. there was something about the idea of whatever there was out there lurking in the darkness that he didn't quite like. But the young man swallowed down the nervousness. Who cares, if one of those things shows up, he'll just get rid of it..! No problem! Even false confidence was confidence.

He comforted himself with the idea that at least in the darkness like this, truly nobody would be able to see him. And with that knowledge he could easily start on the dance routine he had practiced for so long already that he could dream it up any moment. The one his mother left him. A step to the right, a twirl..

In a few moments he had already almost forgotten the danger. If not just because dancing like this made him feel a little more safe, a little closer to his mother. All the times he had practiced this by her grave back home he had felt like she was watching over him, and here in the darkness with nothing but himself visible to him it felt a little like that once more. Almost as if she was right there. Sure, she was there in the camp as well, but he never did quite dare to show her in person. Maybe because even if she was his mother, she was still different like this, or maybe-- no, it was definitely just that he was too afraid of disappointing her. Especially after already being unable to save her in the future.

In the middle of a step he stopped, gazing up at the sky, even though everything looked the same in this lighting except for some faint stars. "Mother.. are you proud of me?"

It was hardly more than a whisper. He wasn't waiting for a direct answer, after all.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Reverse/Rebirth - Journal Entry

"A boy who was born and raised on a small group of islands.

Riku dreamt of seeing other worlds, and so he forsook the islands—only to be seduced by the power of darkness.

Enslaved by Ansem, pursuer of darkness, Riku clashed with his childhood friend Sora. But in the end, he was able to regain himself, and together with Sora closed the door to darkness. Still, the dark wounds in Riku's heart have yet to mend."

You know those kids. The ones that act like the kings of the playground. The ones that come up with all the fun exciting ideas. The ones you want, nay almost need to beat in sports competitions. The ones that even the schoolyard bullies fear.

Riku... Riku's one of those kids. Clever, competitive, ambitious Riku. Or rather, he was.

He didn't grow up to be a bad kid, but he definitely set himself apart from the rest of the group and even from his friends. Growing up, he constantly competed against the others, Sora in particular. Whether it be small short races along the beach, fighting with their play swords or playing in the obstacle course, Riku was the kid to beat and he knew it. He's strong, and constantly trained himself to be that way, to be faster, stronger and above all the rest. Even other characters tend to remark on his resolve and power; Donald and Goofy never grew up with Riku and Sora, yet they know the extent of his strength. That rigorous training and will to be the best is a great contrast to Sora, with whom Riku somewhat remarks at being a lazybutt.

Of course, Riku's wanting to be strong never started out being a bad idea. Being the sweet, naive little kid he was, he had made a pact with a very special visitor to their islands. He proclaimed that he wanted to leave, to find the right power, and use it to protect the things that mattered the most to him: his friends. While the memory now would be foggy and he never did get the name of the visitor, it's something that's influenced his early development greatly, even though the exact promise never did fulfill itself the way he initially intended.

It does set up one vast virtue for him though; his ambition. Because of this drive for strength, Riku sought out various ways to get off the island and find that form of power. As a child, he heard of a story of a kid that had left to become strong. When Kairi first came along the islands, he got the clever idea of being able to leave willingly. This has stayed with him for years, and as he's trained himself, Riku has stewed over the idea of traveling for a very long time, something even Kairi admits to observing. When he gets an idea in his head and deems it good, there's little to stop him and he will find a way.

Sadly though, ambition is not always a good thing, and Riku's first mistake was out of desparation and through opening the door of Destiny Islands to the Darkness. It was almost a decision he made with a smile on his face, declaring proudly that he wasn't afraid of the consequences of his actions or whatever the Darkness will do. After all, he's the strongest kid on the island, right? That's always been who he is, and whatever will come, he'll be able to handle it.

WRONG. On so many levels. For all the ambition, the cleverness and being able to think on his feet, Riku's supposed knowledge of the world and title of the King of the Island fell back on him. When they separated and their home was destroyed, Sora found friendly smiles and people willing to help. Riku however, found a guiding hand through the forces of darkness, odd promises that would save only one of his best friends, and spark of jealously that was soon manipulated into a vengeful streak a football field wide. Riku was not nearly as lucky as Sora. He didn't have a weapon, no magic, no friends... just a dark fairy he didn't even trust, but would give him enormous power. It was easy to tap into that jealously and rage, because sometimes being the only kid on the top of the world, the only the kid that ever thought about leaving home or having adventures, it gets lonely. And when your friends make new friends and go those same adventures you've always dreamed of, things get bitter. And Riku was preyed on by that bitterness, turning it into a weapon with the hopes that he would be the hero and save Kairi, and put Sora in his place.

For all of Riku's cleverness and resourcefulness, he never thought once about his actions. He was so knee-deep in Maleficent's and Ansem's plans and with dark thoughts overtaking him easily, he seemed to almost forget his history with Sora. The effects of his actions wasn't really fully realized until it was too late, where he had lost control of his body and Ansem was destroying all the worlds. However, Riku still did what he could against his possessor, caring so much for Sora and Kairi that he stopped Ansem in his tracks and truly didn't allow himself to be snuffed out entirely. His heart gained immense power and strength, and Riku once again found the resolve in that promise that he had made so long ago.

That starts a whole new chapter in Riku's life and personality. The competitiveness he once grew up with seemed to fade away. Now the idea for getting stronger wasn't about being the best, but more it was about protecting his friends. Overcoming his demons and defeated the lingering fragment of Ansem in his heart isn't a bad thing either, but suddenly Riku's purpose turned into protecting his friends. He ruined his friendship with Sora in such a way that Riku sought him out, wanting to rectify things and ensure the other boy's safety. This resolve, powerful and right, becomes Riku's mantra for life for over the next year, so much so that he barely worries over himself or his state of being. Instead of the self extreme he once was, he become incredibly self-sacrificing, with every action and decision being made in the hopes of helping his friends, without regards to his own safety. That makes him a force to be reckoned with, and with the lingering power of Ansem at his disposal along with his own strength and power over darkness, hurt his friends and he'll hurt you.

However, being self-sacrificing still isn't easy and it still doesn't make things right exactly. He doesn't have much to loose in terms of himself, but when everything comes out to be alright with Sora and Kairi, it's Riku that shies away. No longer as proud as he once was, he is impeccably shameful at what he's done. For the better part of the second game, he hides from Sora, hiding his newly transformed face behind a hood and never speaking a word to the other boy. He couldn't bring himself to do so, thinking it woul;d be better to just masquerade around as Ansem and help from the shadows then face his friends and their worries over him. Things might be okay with his friends and they may be safe, but because of Riku's vast pride, he doesn't see his mistakes as being so easy to correct. People might forgive him, the worlds might be restored and safe, but Riku can not forgive himself for his actions, and that is another reason for his hiding and brings out a new fear for him. He may never forgive himself.

For all of his seriousness and the extremes in his personality though, Riku is actually still sort of a normal kid. A lot of the downtime pastimes spent as a kid was play fighting and races, something that now he probably wouldn't even think of doing without a little bit of prodding. But he still has a sense of humour, teasing Sora about his hidden feelings for Kairi and calling his friends things like lazy and hopeless. As he matured, his humour has become somewhat self-depreciating. He comments on how Sora never chose the best or smartest kinds of friends, and Donald takes that as an insult, when rather Riku has making a reference to himself. Despite his sobriety and solemnness, if someone was able to get Riku into the right mood and frame of mind, he'll likely relax a little.

There's no way for the old Riku to come back, with the crazy competitiveness, confidence and pride he once had. Too much has changed for him, but after hitting rock bottom, he can only hopefully improve with time and the right kind of prodding.

Abilities/Powers:
Keyblade - One important aspect of the series and it's staple. Although not an ability itself, not everyone can wield a Keyblade. In a way they are bonded to their masters, and if a wielder gives their Keyblade to someone who does not usually wield one, it will return to the original master. The only official way that a person can wield one freely is if an inheritance ceremony would be performed, where the chosen successor can successfully hold onto the Keyblade. The main requirement that is needed for someone to hold onto the Keyblade is that they have strong and powerful heart, although it can be inherited through an equally strong connection with a chosen already.

Despite not being a specific ability on its own, a user can gain a number of abilities while wielding a Keyblade. The main function of the weapon is that it can lock and unlock virtually anything, including large scale instances, such as barriers in between worlds, to small scaled items, like locked doors to a room. Other functions of the Keyblade include the ability to be an effective weapon against dark creatures called Heartless, although it can also act as a beacon to attract these dark creatures. It is also extraordinarily malleable, able to change form by simply changing the Keychain at the bottom of the hilt. These changes allow the Keyblade to take on different properties and powers, such as enhancing magical powers or physical strength, as well as a different form.

Finally, the Keyblade is not always carried around on the wielder’s person. Instead, it is summoned from some hamper space, usually with an effect that represents the user’s personality. Riku's current Keyblade is Way to the Dawn, and when summoned, appears in a plume of darkness.

Magic - Riku is by no means a magical powerhouse like Aqua or have access to almost every kind of magic like Sora. What he does have utilizes his darkness as a weapon. Later on in the game, he does have the ability to have a healing technique although it's not known or shown to have access to that ability in his current form.
  • Dark Firaga - Offensive; Allows Riku to fire a volley of dark spheres.
  • Cure Potion - Restorative; Allows Riku to heal both himself and others surrounding him to full health.

Sensing - Many characters in the Kingdom Hearts universe have this ability. Although it's never really explained how it happens or what the feeling is like, the majority of Keybearers (people wielding Keyblades) can detect the amount of light or darkness in a particular character. For example, when Aqua met Kairi, she could tell that the other girl had a strong amount of light within her heart. Riku's sensing ability has developed in the form of an actual smell. Being so submersed in darkness allows him to detect it and actually use it as a way to identify people as well. He can tell the presence of a person or the strength of their heart if he is familiar with their scent.

In addition to his Darkness sensing and due to his own training and utilization of his Darkness, Riku can actually see through the dark as well! It's not perfect, but considering that he spent a whole game with a blindfold over his eyes and didn't trip on anything or walk into walls, it's something to be noted upon.

Swordsmanship - Not necessarily an ability per se, but Riku has had almost years of training with a sword, although his skills with real ones might be slightly lacking. Ever since Riku and Sora were young kids, they would normally spar with each other with wooden toy swords. This training has made Riku something of a natural swordsman, and his skill has only increased since obtaining a Keyblade. He is not professionally or properly trained though.

Corridors of Darkness - AKA 'Instant transportation for lazy, heartless people with no other form of transportation.'

...Or at least that's the mechanics of it in the game. Corridors of Darkness are a method used to travel to different worlds. However, using them isn't exactly easy or accessible to just anyone. They're spaces that one can summon in dark plumes and walking through them allows a person to go from point A to point B, the distance not effecting or notwithstanding it. However, not everyone can use these corridors or even summon them. Nobodies, persons without Hearts, can summon them with ease, as can Heartless and other beings born from Darkness. Riku has access and the ability to summon them thanks to Ansem's influence and by using the powerful darkness in his own heart.

Should a person with a heart or without a super strong affinity to either Light or Darkness enter one, it's highly likely that they won't survive the trip. Black Coats like the ones Riku and members of Organization XIII wear do offer some protection against the deterioration of the space though.

Invasion of the Heart & Body Snatcher - Not an ability by any means, but because of actions Riku took upon trying to subdue and capture Roxas, Riku is now permanently stuck in the form of his former possessor. He has full control of his body and his thought processes are all Riku's, but there's no known way to turn him back into his sixteen year old form.

Guardian - An original ability of Ansem's, Riku has only ever used it once before and that was when he first transformed into Ansem in order to know Roxas unconscious. The Guardian is a dark, almost symbiotic entity, but not considered to be a Heartless despite it's design similarities. It doesn't exist without a host, and usually that host can only be associated with Ansem or Xehanort (the big bad bald guy of the series). It's a protector and attacker, and can basically do whatever the host wills it to do. Riku has only ever used the Guardian once before, so he may not particularly like to use such a terrible thing or considers it to be a last ditch effort.

Items/Weapons: The clothes on this back (Black Coat, blindfold, and his normal 'Riku' clothes which would be underneath his coat should he return to his normal form) and Way to the Dawn Keyblade.

Sample Entry:
The samples below are of Riku from a different canon point. Should someone talk to him as Riku and not as Ansem (the man he'll be masquerading), he'll have this sort of tone and voice.

One - Two

Sample Entry Two:
It wasn't too often that Riku made his way to the Islands. The fear of being caught, the worry over what kind of state it was it. Riku's heart felt like solid lead whenever he would visit. It necessary in a way; with Sora off on his journey someone needed to try and keep a good eye on Kairi to ensure her safety. He never got close, never enough to say anything to her, and seeing her was a fleeting thing. It was mostly when she would walk home with Selphie from school. The girls would keep on the main paths, and Riku would merely observe from the shadows.

And that's all he's been doing. Keeping to the shadows in one world or another, keeping an eye on people and how they're fairing. Usually just a few steps ahead of Sora, sometimes spending days at a time in one place more than another. Here though, here at home, his visits never stayed long. Most times he'd just wait to see Kairi and then leave without a trace, before anyone else would see him or he'd see someone else. Today though, felt a little different. The girls had stayed longer at school than normal, causing Riku to shift around his position to other locations. It was almost sunset by the time the girls made their way, and seeing them unharmed and okay made him breath a silent sigh of relief. Looks like he didn't need to worry, not that things regularly attacked or happened on Destiny Islands.

Which really, is how things should be. With all the excitement over the past year, peace and quiet for any of them would be a blessing. Sora just had to come home and then both him and Kairi could be happy.

Duty done, Riku turns to the sky, admiring the colours of the sunset. It wouldn't a bad idea to stay a little longer, now would it? Whenever he's come, it's always been to the mainland, but now he feels a little curious about another landmark. Their play island, the place where everything happened and everything went wrong.

'The sunset looks just like that one. On that day...'

Opening a portal, Riku steps through the Corridor, surroundings instantly turning from close buildings to an open beach. This place... it looked exactly like ow it's supposed to be. The beach shack was still there, treehouse, everything, and seeing it all brought both a slight smile to his face and pain in his chest. It's just how it's supposed to be except for just a few things; Sora and Kairi namely.

Riku's stride is careful, calm and slow as he walks across the beach and toward the docks. No boats where waiting there, which meant he was completely alone. Another slight relief, he wouldn't want to be found here just as much as he wouldn't want to be found anywhere on this world, not like this. But it wouldn't hurt to maybe see that sunset once again, and hope that something better comes out of his efforts than last time.

Personality:
Diego's most notable character trait is his ambition, which basically boils down to wanting to prove he's better than everyone else. The rumors surrounding Diego are all about his ambitions and his cruelty-- namely, that he'll do whatever it takes to get ahead in life. These rumors are completely true. While his goals at their core remain the same throughout the series (control, achieved through fame, fortune, and everything that goes with it), he's freely comfortable changing the methods through which he achieves them as soon as circumstances allow. He begins by seeking the prize money and prestige that comes from winning the race, shifts his focus to collecting the corpse parts to obtain their power, takes a brief detour into revenge and political status by allying with the president to kill Johnny and Gyro in exchange for Manhattan, and ends by trying to assassinate the president. It's not that any one goal is what he's after, but rather that all of them are possible paths to his ultimate desire to be above everyone else. He is completely willing to ruin as many people as he has to to get what he desires; in contrast to his original incarnation, though, he at least doesn’t go out of his way to screw people over-- it simply keeps turning up as the best course of action.

His mother's death had a profound impact on his entire world view, as up until that point he was actually a pretty well-adjusted kid, considering the fact that he had been buried alive as an infant. What he took away from the incident was the sense that the entire world would look down upon him, would never offer him any help if he were in trouble, and would be perfectly content to stand by and watch him and his mother die, or watch them be humiliated-- and that he had to hold onto his pride despite that. His sense of pride does not, however, equate to a sense of honor-- he has no problem with cheating by attacking other competitors, and rather infamously married an elderly, wealthy woman who mysteriously died six months later. As Johnny says, he has stolen everything he has, his social class and newfound wealth, his training, his powers, his backstory, even his end goals of collecting the corpse. He'll play underhanded, and he'll play along with other people, even if they look down on him; it just drives him to prove them wrong that much quicker as soon as they stop being useful. For instance, when he makes a deal with the president to work with him, he offers to exchange the left eye for the entire island of Manhattan. The president calls him peasant scum under his breath, which Diego can hear thanks to his enhanced hearing-- and he just shrugs, because he needs to work with the president in order to get back at Johnny and Gyro for humiliating him, and he can put up with the president insulting him until turning against him becomes more profitable. And that time comes quickly; once he realizes the president has nearly the entire corpse part, he knows he's no longer useful, and sets out to assassinate him before the president can kill him first.

Diego is highly analytical and observant, which manifests itself not just in the way he modifies his plans as the situation changes but also in how he races. He calculates his opponents' horses' breathing rates and habits to identify the optimal time to surge ahead, he finds the ideal course for his horse to run on by analyzing the environment, and he utilizes other racers as windshields to cut down on the wind resistance he has to fight against. He's cunning, able to scan the situation at hand and know when it's better to lay low or to act, and he's willing to work with (and for) people before switching sides once they're no longer useful to him. He's particularly ruthless in his willingness to sacrifice things in exchange for power; he's willing to burn bridges, throw allies under the bus, or even injure himself if it will get him what he needs. He's both self-serving and self-centered, willing to do what he has to to advance his lot in life and assuming that other people are beneath him. He's from a classist society where he's stuck in the lower class, so he's constantly struggling against people looking down on him, but he looks down on people in the same position. It's not so much that people shouldn't treat the lower class badly, it's that people shouldn't treat him badly because he's better than the rest of the lower class.

Because of his relentless need to prove himself better than everyone else, he's a showoff. It's not enough to simply get improved reflexes from his powers, he has to start doing headstands on the back of his horse; it's not enough to figure out the president's powers, he has to explain to the president, in detail, how he will kill him, how he's figured out exactly what he can and can't do when attacking him. It's about rubbing it in that he figured it out and demonstrating that it was a mistake to show his power around him, because he's just that clever and he never should have been written off in the first place.

He is, like every incarnation of Dio Brando, incredibly petty. He's stubborn when challenged; when Gyro rides ahead of the other racers at the beginning of the first stage, and sabotages Diego’s path when crossing the bridge, Diego takes it as a personal slight and decides that Gyro is the one to beat, even though Diego ended up taking second only to Sandman at the end of the stage. For the rest of the race, he takes Gyro’s continued existence around him as a personal challenge, which eventually shifts to Johnny once Johnny begins placing higher, despite the fact that there are other competitors placing higher than the three of them; Gyro and Johnny made it personal, so he has to teach them a lesson. When humiliated, when beaten, when insulted, he's driven not just to work harder but to rub it in; as Johnny says, he hungers for success, and moreso when it's denied him once. Lying underneath this is a tendency to drag other people down kicking and screaming while he's trying to best them, and even if someone else gets the prize, it's enough that his chosen opponent didn't. He’s often too stubborn to admit his weakness or quirks, far past the point of simply ignoring them, in truly ridiculous ways, because he's really a ridiculous human being. When Johnny catches him eating rocks, he backs it up with health benefits as if it’s the latest trend, as if Johnny is simply too uncool to join the rock-eating bandwagon; when Johnny realizes that Diego can’t see the coffee cup sitting right in front of him, Diego counters his claim by grabbing a fly out of the air— and then blindly feeling around on the countertop until he touches the mug.

While he doesn't care much for people, he does show a softer side around animals. He loves his horse, and legitimately cares for her, not just because she's his vehicle in winning the race/getting to the corpse parts quickly. When Silver Bullet gives out due to exhaustion, he's next seen walking her through the finish line, carrying her saddle and supplies in his free hand so as to avoid putting any excess weight on her. He's proud of his raptors, and gets angry when people treat them poorly because they're an extension of himself, in a way; people who treat his raptors like trash are essentially saying he's trash. It's not just limited to animals that are his, either; he's always had a way with horses, ever since he was a child, that his mother identified as a way for him to achieve a better lot in life.

Abilities/Powers: Diego's power is called Scary Monster and primarily allows him to transform into a dinosaur. Though his vision, smell, hearing, and reflexes are all greatly enhanced even while partially transformed to the point where he can dodge bullets, he loses the ability to perceive slow-moving objects or objects that are stationary, automatically disregarding them as potential threats. When fully transformed, he's essentially an intelligent velociraptor, still capable of basic problemsolving (like "force my enemies to move by using smaller dinosaurs to sniff them out and bite them"); the main distinguishing feature (you know, to set him apart from all the other dinosaurs running around) is that his tail has markings that look like DIO written all over it (which might disappear in Haven? Important Questions). When partially transformed, he maintains a general human appearance, though the tail appears and his fingers become more clawlike. His mouth also usually splits open to his ears and scales begin to show on his face and arms. He is able to wrap his tail around things ("things" being people's throats) though it is not particularly dexterous. When transformed, both fully and partially, he's very skilled at climbing things (usually buildings), doing fancy flips and dodges, and generally slashing at things with his claws.

He also begins to show the ability to transform organisms, living or dead, into dinosaurs like spreading an infection through hitting them. He uses this most often to turn small rodents into tiny raptors, which can track specific scents for him and follow his orders. These raptors appear to be particularly weak-- they're usually about rat-sized and are killed in one hit, though Diego doesn't seem to get damaged when his raptors are attacked. Throughout the series, he also turns his horse into a dinosaur, makes... dinosaur fleas, and turns a dead bear carcass into a living dinosaur. Then his powers start getting really off the wall crazy and he turns a few unconscious guards into dinosaur lamps (??? this is a weird chapter in general) or fossils to get their bodies out of the way. It's unknown if he has any control over these transformed people because he only ever uses it once he's already knocked them out. This is a pretty stupid use of his power and only shows up once so I'm totally fine with pretending it doesn't work on other humans if you are. Likewise, he starts pulling raptors out of nowhere towards the end, but I'm going to say he needs some sort of organic thing to transform, even if it's dead already.

Also he can swallow rocks to aid in digestion and spit them up later, gross gastroliths.

Sample Entry: Here!
Sample Entry Two:
He wakes up in an unfamiliar bed with a noise clanging in his ear, staring at the ceiling and trying to connect it to the last thing he remembered. It was the president's body falling below his, the ground rushing up towards them as the train flew by, and he was sure not to land on top of the president, sure that there was nothing he could use to go "between," sure that the president had died before hitting the tracks--

He holds his hands up in front of him, pressing his fingers together like wheels running over a rail; it'd be enough for Funny Valentine, and it'd also be enough that he, Dio, falling alongside him, would...

He whips off the blanket to stare down at himself, the mounting fear subsiding immediately when he saw his body in one piece. Hot Pants, then; she’d followed through, she’d been useful one last time, it didn't matter if he remembers his legs meters away from him. That settled, he lashes out at the source of the sound, sending a clock clattering to the floor in pieces, and leaping out of bed to find out just how far he was from his horse.

The view out the window is unfamiliar to him, with neither a hint of a train nor the Atlantic Ocean, nor any signs of racers struggling to catch up with his pace. So Valentine had escaped, and from the looks of it, brought him along somewhere else, to another universe. It meant starting over, that all the damage he had dealt would need to be repeated, but he could still track Lucy Steel’s scent, and he’d find them soon enough. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap would still be active (or else he's stranded, but he's Diego Brando, he can't be stranded in some backwater universe while the president escapes, so he doesn't give it another thought) so it's simply a matter of returning, tracking her down, and finishing the job.

With that in mind, he whips the blanket off the bed, flips it to drape over his shoulders like a cape, and jumps-- the president can do it with a flag and the ground, so it should work just fine.

Personality:
'Sherlock' is a modern adaptation of the original canon book series, Sherlock Holmes. As such, Sherlock largely stays true to his original counterpart, the only real difference being that it's all set in the modern day. For instance, Sherlock is well up to date with all things technical, he uses nicotine patches instead of smoking a pipe and he watches 'crap telly' (which he didn't do before John came into his life, might I just add).

Anderson: According to someone, the murderer has the case. And we find it in the hands of our favourite psychopath.
Sherlock: I'm not a psychopath, Anderson, I'm a high-functioning sociopath. Do your research.
- Sherlock corrects Anderson, 'A Study In Pink'.

Sherlock defines himself by using medical jargon. He calls himself a high functioning sociopath (a term no longer used, as it's now grouped in with ASPD - Antisocial Personality Disorder - which suggests [under my own speculation] that Sherlock is simply spouting labels to see if anyone catches him out. They don't), which isn't necessarily a true diagnosis. It would be more accurate to say that he's either suffering from aspergers syndrome (given his acute obsession with puzzles, but not with people, and the way he watches others whilst feeling detached himself), Savant syndrome or even a slew of different definitions all rolling up into one thing to make Sherlock who he is. Suffice to say that it's not so simple as to place him into one category; people are much more complicated than that, and the diagnosis of sociopath is most likely something to throw people off of him, to stop them looking closely at something he doesn't want them to. It also gives him the benefit of being treated differently. If it is something like autism, he might still feel but he'll be unsure at what his emotions actually mean; either way, he's unsure about his own feelings and is likely more comfortable ignoring them all together, which makes him come across as almost robotic in his actions and his 'emotions'.

Moriarty: If you don't stop prying, I will burn you. I will burn the heart out of you.
Holmes: I have been reliably informed that I don't have one.
Moriarty: Oh, but we both know that's not quite true.
- Sherlock and Moriarty, The Great Game.

It seems that Sherlock has a limited emotional range. He feels excitement, pleasure and adrenaline, but it really takes John being tied up in explosives to see that somewhere in that cold, too-small heart, there's the smallest grasp at something close to companionship. Moriarty rightfully guesses that John is his heart - something Sherlock might not have seen before that moment, or at least, something he hadn't really considered before he'd been presented with the possibility. It's very telling that, as soon as Sherlock can, he strips John of his coat laced with explosives, adamantly asking if John's all right several times over - for someone so repeatedly level-headed in the midst of several crisis to show his nerves physically affecting him is quite a feat (if you watch closely, he starts waving his gun around in a fit of adrenaline, talking warily, and his hands are actually shaking!).

Sherlock: All right? Are you all right?
John: Sherlo- Sherlock, I'm fine.
- Sherlock panicking whilst he pulls John's coat off in 'The Great Game'.

His intelligence has always set him apart from everyone else (and I think that whilst this paragraph is mostly filled with speculation, it all works out until we meet the present day Sherlock Holmes). This means that he's always been regarded as 'odd', and it's a part he's literally fallen into. At a very young age, Sherlock learnt that he wasn't like everyone else, and he learnt that he had to make certain allowances to become like them. He learnt to fake smiles, he learnt that crying was an emotional response that lead others to feel sympathy for you, and he learnt that being intelligent wasn't necessarily a good thing. He built himself from the ground up, because that's what he had to do to be considered 'normal', and for a long while, he was content pretending. This is why he's so good at falling into someone else's shoes, faked or otherwise, because he's had a lot of practise pretending to be everyone other than himself. Being a genius certainly has its drawbacks, and to be a genius in the first place means that other things have to balance out the brilliance of the mind. For every excellent quality Sherlock has, he has a flaw to counter it.

Sherlock Holmes is nothing short of amazing. He has an eidetic memory, which is rare in of itself, and as a result of this, he can run through the various and erratic stages of his mind, often coming up with disjointed thoughts that eventually fit the big picture. He's always thinking, always above everyone else, always faster and always following something that seems improbable or even completely random to other people. To himself, his thoughts make perfect, logical sense, and he can't quite understand why people have such trouble keeping up with him. Because his mind is so much faster than the average person, he has to dumb himself down and explain things at every step, which is obviously irritating for him so he often ignores questions and concentrates on his own. It's obvious that he's not used to having a partner, and it does take him a while to get used to the idea of sharing thoughts aloud when he would usually just keep them to himself and start running off somewhere.

Being so intelligent can have some major problems, and Sherlock can't really cope at all when he's not got something to keep his brain working. He literally falls short, content to laze around on the couch wearing nothing other than his pyjamas until a new case falls into his lap. He won't go out searching for one, people have to come to him. He's been known to do a lot of strange things when cases are limited, such as experiment on decapitated heads, hit corpses with riding crops, put eyeballs in the microwave and he's even shot the wall, claiming that '(the wall) had it coming'. Whenever he's in one of his moods, it's usually best to leave him be, as no one can really get through to him. He sometimes goes for days on end without speaking a word, and it's also not a stretch to see him picking up his violin to cure his continuous boredom.

John: Who are you? What do you do?
Sherlock: I'm a consulting detective. The only one in the world - I invented the job.
John: What does that mean?
Sherlock: It means when the police are out of their depth - which is always - they consult me.
- Their first proper conversation in the back of a taxi, 'A Study In Pink'.

Sherlock is arrogant. There's no denying it, he has a definite sense of self, and he knows that he's smarter than most everyone around him. He doesn't necessarily go out of his way to prove just how intelligent he is, but he does, when the moment calls for it, berate and belittle those who fail to grasp his line of reasoning. He's different from everyone else in an obvious way; he sees things others don't pick up on, he can make conclusions about people he's never even met from the size of their shoes and he can assume elaborate stories from looking at a simple mobile phone. Because of all of these abilities, he knows that he's unique and that he's brilliant - the police haven't got a single hope in hell of solving the crimes Sherlock solves, and especially not at the rate he's been able to solve them. Sherlock is more than aware of how much the police need him, and that only adds to his excessive ego. Because he sees and regards himself so highly, he can and often will come across as cold. Sherlock is, by default, a cold and is often likened to a machine in the way that he pushes people out of his equations and concentrates, instead, on the puzzle at the heart of it all. He doesn't care for the people involved, only the problem and how it might be solved, and he does this without feeling any empathy for whoever's caught up within the middle of his games. As a result of all of this, he can appear to be stand-offish and unemotional at things that would move even the hardened of criminals; Sherlock is interesting because he understands emotions on a clinical, text-book level, but he doesn't quite grasp their meaning or what they are. He understands that love is a powerful and dangerous emotion, plagued by dopamine and other endorphins released in the brain, and it often leads to some of the most heinous crimes he's ever had the pleasure of solving. He also understands that hatred, whilst considered a powerful emotion, usually lays dormant until something more motivational, such as love, becomes involved. People, to Sherlock, are complicated creatures, so he feels the need to de-construct them down into strong emotions, which are easier to understand than meddling with the ones in between.

John: So why is he doing this then? Playing this game with you? Do you think he wants to be caught?
Sherlock: I think he wants to be distracted.
John: Well, I hope you'll be very happy together.
Sherlock: ...sorry, what?
John: There are lives at stake, Sherlock! Actual human lives! Just so I know, do you care about that at all?
Sherlock: Would caring about them help to save them?
John: No.
Sherlock: Then I'll continue not to make that mistake.
John: And you find that easy, do you?
Sherlock: Yes, very. Is that news to you?
John: No... no.
Sherlock: ... I've disappointed you.
John: It's good. It's a good deduction, yes.
Sherlock: Don't make people into heroes, John: heroes don't exist, and if they did I wouldn't be one of them.
- One of John and Sherlock's first real arguments from 'The Great Game'.

On a personal level, Sherlock is difficult. He's difficult to get to know, he's difficult to talk to, he's difficult to read and he's most definitely difficult to understand. He has no sense of depravity, he believes that everything in the flat is his to use as he pleases (including John's things, such as his laptop and his phone) and he hasn't quite grasped the concept of sharing. He doesn't go out of his way for anyone other than himself, he has no qualms with finishing off the milk and then letting John find out that morning that it's gone, he has no problems with making John go to the local supermarket to get their shopping. He's also not adverse to lying back and letting John bring said shopping up the stairs, through the flat, and then stack it into the kitchen all on his own either. He is, as Mycroft puts it, hellish to live with; he has no real sleeping pattern to speak of, he eats very rarely, he's been known to pick his violin up at three in the morning and scrape against the strings in annoyance, and most importantly, he's been known to do drugs.

Lestrade: And I didn't break into your flat.
Sherlock: Well, what do you call this, then?!
Lestrade: It's a drugs bust!
John: Seriously? This guy? A junkie? Have you met him?
Sherlock: John.
John: I'm pretty sure you could search this flat all day, and you wouldn't find anything you could call recreational.
Sherlock: John, you probably want to shut up. Now.
John: Yeah, but come on. [Eyes Sherlock] No.
Sherlock: What?
John: You?
Sherlock: Shut up! [Turns to Lestrade] I'm not your sniffer dog.
Lestrade: No, Anderson's my sniffer dog.
Sherlock: Wh- And-? Anderson, what are you doing here on a drugs bust?!
Anderson: Oh, I volunteered.
Lestrade: They all did. They're not, strictly speaking, on the drugs squad, but they're very keen.
- Sherlock, John and Lestrade talking about Sherlock's habits, 'A Study In Pink'.

Sherlock: Oh, so, what, you set up a pretend drugs bust to bully me?
Lestrade: It stops being pretend if they find anything.
Sherlock: I am clean.
Lestrade: Is your flat? All of it?
Sherlock: I don't even smoke.
- Sherlock and Lestrade continued, 'A Study In Pink'.

Sherlock has had past experience with the use of narcotics. Going by the original canon, Sherlock likely injected cocaine. Whilst cocaine isn't really injected much at all in this day and age, have we ever really known Sherlock to go by the norm of society? It largely depends on the type of high he's searching for, and injected cocaine gives him everything he wants (the high, the adrenaline - though instead of making him rush around, it gears his brain up so that he can think as he does on a case. It's been stated that he feels as though his mind rots when it's left to think on nothing, so cocaine is a way to alleviate that symptom). It also correlates to his thrill-seeking behaviour; those that have been addicted to cocaine show more signs of seeking out pleasure (like we see with Sherlock quite often), and one is never really rid of the effects of cocaine. Because of the high it gave the brain, it remembers and it wants that high back - this is why, after withdrawing from cocaine, people often go back to the drug, and why Lestrade doesn't necessarily believe that Sherlock's clean. It should also be noted that when Sherlock steers the conversation from his flat being cleaned, he shows obvious signs of avoidance - he refuses to answer the question, and instead, pushes it into another direction entirely.

Sherlock Holmes, in conclusion is a man that few would like to deal with. He's irritating, he's unusual, he's rude, he's arrogant and he's self-obsessed. But he's also brilliant, and when pushed, he can be shockingly loyal - especially to John, which is odd given Sherlock's general outlook on people. Their friendship is unlikely, insane, nonsensical and completely out of this world. And that's why it suits them both down to the ground.

The first thing to note about Sherlock Holmes is his intelligence. There's a reason he's known as the best literary figure throughout history; his logical mind is nothing to scoff at. He has the power to recall images without a single fault, he can recall words and how they're pronounced whilst simultaneously running through a dictionary in several different languages and he can link up logical facts from obvious clues scattered around the crime scene, and this is all within the confines of his own mind. Furthermore, he has the ability to observe things with an obsessive amount of detail; for instance, he's able to see and understand whether someone's left handed by taking a quick sweeping glance through their apartment, he can determine whether someone is lying by a series of mental cues he's trained himself to take notice of, and he can catch people out by listening to the phrases they've chosen to use.

Sherlock holds the ability to slip into people's personalities as though they were a new wardrobe. He can change his mannerisms completely, the name Sherlock Holmes completely disappears in lieu of this new character. It's definitely a skill worth mentioning, as he really does change everything about him, from the way that he walks to the formidable air that seems to follow his every step. He can push out certain believable flaws, allowing him to act as though he's awkward or uncomfortable. He constructs a storyline within his head based upon the people he's talking with, and he can create everything up from the ground, such as his characters likes and dislikes, little quirks and the things that make them enthusiastic. He can (and will) drop these masks without any notice, becoming his stoic and expressionless self once he holds the information he set out to gain.

He has extremely steady hands, thanks to the more scientific side of Sherlock. He needs his hands to be as steady as possible, especially when working with dangerous chemicals and using pipettes to drop an exact amount of liquid into a certain other chemical. As a result of meticulously forcing his hands to be steady, when holding a gun, his aim is near perfect.  He's also studied a special type of martial arts called 'Bartitsu'. The general idea is that you assess your enemies strengths and use them against them, whilst simultaneously using the element of surprise.

Sherlock Holmes has always had a gift with music. When he was a child, he picked up the violin and had found that playing was second nature to him; he's a modern day virtuoso, able to play anything by ear with skilled musicians fingers. The most interesting thing about Sherlock is that he could hear something playing in the background and only subconsciously take it in, and the next time he picks his violin up, he could be playing it with intricate additions of his own.

Not only can Sherlock use the language of music, he's very apt at multiple languages, though he's mostly keen and more accurate on the languages spoken in Europe.

At the end of his extensive list of amazing abilities is his innate knowledge of all things technical. He can touch type, he can somehow use the phone networks to text an entire room of people, and he's intelligent enough to be able to crack computer passwords with ease.

[ Having found himself in an apartment complex he doesn't know, with a phone that's just bordering on ancient, Sherlock Holmes is a name he's weary of using (and he's certainly not ready to let people see his face). Personality:
The shark is known as a vicious and relentless predator, capable of locking onto its prey with just the smallest hint of blood in the water, and while its movements seem as graceful and fluid as any regular creature that lives its life in the water, a shark doesn't live an overly idle life, nor does it believe in mercy. Fittingly enough, with his row of sharp shark-like teeth, Rin goes about his own life almost exactly like an actual shark's, having the same sort of determination and ferocity of a killer of the ocean... albeit he doesn't go around killing and eating people. Rin didn't always have this same sort of hot-blooded attitude, having been more of a cheerful and charismatic child when he was much younger, but he still had the same sort of drive to be the best and live his life to the fullest, unwilling to let any sort of boundaries get in his way of attaining the dream of becoming an Olympic swimmer, a dream that used to belong to his father until he gave it all up to become a family man, only to be killed by the very thing he loved; the ocean, having drowned in a fishing boat accident. The event was what sparked Rin's motivation to achieve what his father hadn't been able to have, and in order to take better advantage of his potential, he would eventually move across the seas and study in Australia, leaving behind a small group of his friends. But when he finally returned, he wasn't the easy-going and cheerful boy he used to be.

Rin has a firey spirit, one that allows him to focus on his desires and goals to an almost obsessive extent. He spends a lot of his free time reading books on how to better himself and practices his swimming techniques whenever he gets a chance, and he has high enough expectations of himself that not getting a fast enough time or screwing up a training session can put him in a very negative move. Dealing with losses are not part of his specialty, because what he expects from himself is the very best, and failure just clearly isn't an option. He'd gone to Australia in order to become a better swimmer and pave his way further toward being an Olympian, but the fact of the matter was that he had ended up in unfamiliar terrain, with no one to rely on and no one to support him but himself, and so because of this, Rin learned to become more reliant on his own skills and no one else's. He's intent on being the best on his own grounds and having no hesitancy when it comes to his swimming, as well as with other people, which means that new friendships are hard to hold onto and build. When Rin returned to Japan and enrolled in a new school and joined the swim team, he had no real attachments to anyone other than his swim captain, Mikoshiba, and one of his underclassmen who happened to be his roommate, named Nitori. Nitori idolizes him to an amazing extent, but Rin never bats a single eyelash over it or shows any real signs of feeling praised. At the most, Nitori seems like background noise to him, nothing he pays attention to or needs. They're just empty words, falling back upon the rest he's had in his life, including those of his old childhood friends.

Because of his focus on swimming, Rin doesn't ever find the time or the place to reconnect with the group of friends he'd had as a child; Makoto, Nagisa, and specifically of all, Haruka, whom could have easily been considered as Rin's best friend in the past. Rin cared for Haruka immensely and focused on him so much that he demanded he swim in a relay with him, but it wasn't until the two faced off in a race when Rin returned to Japan that resulted in Rin's loss that their friendship crumbled. Even as an adult, though he's not very adept at showing it, Rin holds a very high regard for the relationships he holds with people, but when conflict comes along, he becomes frustrated at his inability to communicate his emotions or handle the situation. Rin is all about action and not quite considering the consequences, so he'd much rather yell and shout then take a moment to think things through, or at the worst, break down into tears. During his entire time back in Japan, he never takes a chance to talk things out with Haruka and the others to see what sort of position their friendship is in, and the only reason they ever end up meeting up continuously is due to Haruka's group of friends forming a swimming club along with another student, named Rei. Haruka's group soon decides to train and prepare for a swimming competition, and soon his focus isn't just on the swimming but on meeting Rin, and when Rin finds out the news of their plans, his only intention is to beat Haru in another swimming match to prove himself as the better one.

Though he plays himself off as a cocky and head-strong individual, Rin has a surprisingly fragile weakpoint that brings him to pieces if it's touched upon. Rin has been very alone for a large portion of his life, mainly only having the companionship of his younger sister, Gou. Dealing with other people in an environment outside a swimming pool is downright difficult for him, and after fixating so heavily on the loss that Haruka had given him, all Rin could want upon returning to Japan was beating him and regaining his pride. But, even after finally winning a match against Haru, Rin realizes that it wasn't the answer he wanted, and that there was something else he needed to attain to feel complete again. It's when he loses his chance to swim against Haruka again that Rin realizes what he'd secretly been aiming for all his time in Japan; to be friends with Haruka once more and to not swim against him, but to swim with him. Deep down inside him, he knows that friendships are the things that forms a large portion of who he is as a person, and gives him the right determination to better himself and be true to himself. Isolating himself with his competitive nature only hurts him, because when it comes down to it, he's still that lively little boy that only wants to swim and have fun, but more importantly, have fun with the people he cares about.

On the outside and when his emotions and temper get the best of him, Rin is as unrelenting and vicious as a shark, but deep down, he's exactly how he used to be as a child, just a boy that wishes to find his own happiness, especially among those who help provide it for him. His sister Gou put it upon herself to create a swim team just for the sole fact of wanting to find a way to bring the young version of her brother back, wanting to see that happy grin he used to wear as a child, and when Haruka realizes that Rin's frustrations aren't just a sole factor of how inept he grows to become over his capabilities as a swimmer, Rin soon learns what it is that had been missing his whole life, the single thing he needs in order to be "free": friends. And friendships are the things that are so integral to a person that there's no need to prioritize competitions and pride over them, which is what Rin ultimately embraces. It's been a long and hard road for Rin to regain the old ideals that he's had as a child while still retaining his unrelenting ambition, but deep down, he takes on any challenge that meets him, and so learning to be a reliable friend again shouldn't prove to be difficult. Sharks aren't easily intimidated by much, and neither is Rin.

Rin is a normal human being with no supernatural abilities or powers to speak of. At the most, he just has an incredibly well-developed physical endurance due to his lengthy swimming training, so he's good at running and swimming long distances, and of course, since his childhood ambition was to swim competitively in the Olympics, he's an impressive swimmer. His specialty is specifically the Butterfly stroke, but he's also skilled in swimming Freestyle.

Background/History: Link because I don't think you would appreciate me being a wise-ass about 350 or so chapters of this spectacular series.

All so don't look too close at the personality section in the wiki because it was made by 14 year olds with little-to-no character insight and I can pinpoint pages on the places I differ from the wiki knowledge. In short I'm a bigger nerd than them with a little background in psychology.

**A bit of a note, because I don't want to have to inflict super-powered world-saving teenage boy upon everyone right off. I'll be taking him just after he's been healed by Byakuran, which means that the key to his fancy shounen laser thing is currently a pretty blue rock. He can unlock it when he needs to, but first he'll probably just react to his surroundings. I love this series for all of it's craziness and flaws, but I am well aware how obnoxious super-powered teenagers can be.

Previous Game History: N/A
Personality: For the most part, Yamamoto seems like a friendly, easy going, laid back sorta guy. If he were a meme he'd be 'good guy Greg'. He's almost always got a smile on his face and you would have better luck convincing Wikipedia to unban Stephen Colbert than you would offending Yamamoto. He's got the patience of a saint and is very hard to anger. However, Yamamoto is much more complicated than he appears. In the beginning of the series, while people were fond and chummy with Yamamoto, girls formed possessive fanclubs about him, he didn't particularly have any close friends. He appeared to be the untouchable good-guy jock. He also attempted suicide at one point, so it's safe to assume while he is generally easy-going and good natured, he's prone to bottling things up. A recurring theme with Yamamoto is that there is always more going on than there appears.

Running with this theme, Yamamoto can come off as kind of a dufus, His grades aren't stellar, and he often blatantly ignores the obvious to the point where one could argue some sort of comprehension deficiency. However, he's good enough at acting that he actually makes people believe he's that spectacularly dense. In truth, he's one of the sharpest members of the Vongola, as Reborn (mentor of the group) has stated. Yamamoto's grades are low simply because he's too preoccupied with baseball and lets his grades slip. When he puts forth the effort he's very quick at picking up on things on his own. The biggest facade he has is his involvement with the Vongola. He always brushes it off saying it's a 'fun role playing game', despite nearly getting eaten by sharks, getting pulled into the future, as well as a number of other dangerous and occasionally ridiculous events. However, it's not a perfect facade. He breaks it on a few occasions, one being to give his friend a good punch in the face (because this is how you fix people's problems in Shounen) and verbally lecture him on what good he's doing for the family with his attitude. The facade seems to be more of a safeguard than anything, so that he can fall back into his favorite hobby whenever he wants and not feel pressured by the Vongola.

For a good while, Yamamoto struggled weighing the importance of his favorite sport, baseball, and his friends and the Vongola. He would worry about getting hurt severe enough to prevent him from playing, and would hold back when it came to fighting. His suicide attempt was in part because he had gotten injured and might have to sit out the season (it can be speculated that there was more than that going on, but it's not elaborated, for headcanon reasons I am going to claim that the 'untouchable good-guy jock' act was weighing on him a bit too much). Over time the Vongola won out, but it doesn't mean he's any less enthusiastic about his sport. He's got a competitive spirit, and despite having baseball on the brain, it shows in more than just his chosen sport. While at first he refused his father's teachings on the family sword style, he picked it up for the sake of his friends, and whenever he finds a good opponent he gets a charge in fighting them. His fights are always good natured though, he doesn't aim to kill and if his opponent perishes for one reason or another (an outside source, sharks, ect.) he gets visibly upset, which for him is saying something. It's also rare for him to fight out of anger, as one of his greatest strengths is his ability to keep a cool head in heated moments Most of the time anyway, the previously mentioned face-punching and lecturing while necessary could have been done at a better time when someone wasn't trying to kill him (Luckily their attacker found their teenage hissy-fits amusing and let them be while he sat back and popcorn.gifed). There are a few moments when he becomes irritated, but in the entirety of almost 400 chapters, Yamamoto is only seen getting table-flipping angry once. And that one time he was fighting a century-old illusionist (the big bad boss of the arc), and by employing tactics and strategies in a cool-headed manner, Yamamoto sent him crawling away with his tail between his legs to regroup. This was just after Yamamoto had been healed from aforementioned shish-kabobbing.

Despite his perception on situations, his ability to play up a facade, Yamamoto does still have his derpy teenage boy moments when he's let his guard down. When the world's most obnoxious small child one of his younger friends, Lambo, enters a room after a bath informing those in the dining area that "in the bath... THERE'S A BUNCH OF BOOBIES!" Yamamoto drops his drink and starts having an awkward flailing and choking moment with his friend Tsuna. And over the course of the series, Yamamoto lets his guard down more and more, using the facade less. It's still there, just simply added on as a kind of afterthought, at least with his friends in the Vongola. To strangers, while he's faster to open up than before, there's still an initial time when he slips back into it for comforts sake.

Overall, Yamamoto is a good kid who pretends to be normal, but has some unique quirks to him and a bucket of issues under the surface. He's a patient, laid back, calm, and good-natured baseball nerd, who will drop his bat and take up a sword for the sake of his friends.

Abilities/Powers: Leaving links to the wikis for any clarifications... as well as to prevent this section from ending up longer than the personality section it's happened to me before, sadly.

Shigure Soen Ryu : A sword style he inherited from his father, said to be the 'prefect technique'.

Rain Flame: Like most video games and a good deal of Shounen series, 'Dying Will Flames' are Katekyo Hitman Reborn's Shounen-laser of choice. There are several elements to them, each with different properties. Yamamoto's dying will flames takes form in a blue liquid-like flame called the rain flame. The property of these flames is 'tranquility', in term of application this means that it primarily works in weakening. When used against other attacks it slows them and weakens their power, it can also be applied to illusions- weakening them enough to break them/see through them. When applied to people it can slow them or stop them completely.

To put this in terms of an RPG, with along with his use of weapons and physical strength, Yamamoto is a debuff tank.

Vongola Ring/Vonolga Gear: The Vongola ring was a ring that helps the user channel their flames. The Vongola rings were a high level ring that could take a very high flame output. Within the ring is also the 'will' (fancy canon term for ghost aparently) of the first Vongola guardian of that ring. For Yamamoto the will inside is Ugetsu Asari. It doesn't particularly come into effect, there was only one instance where the wills could make themselves known, and it is not likely to happen again.
Also, when alit the ring can be inserted into a special box and unlock weapons for that flame element. The weapons can rage from actual weapons (swords and such) or fancy weaponized animals. Depending on the box the animal can attack or in some cases can even fuse to certain weapons to upgrade it. Also, the more animalistic box weapons have some sort of mental bond with their owner. They often share moods, or the animal will act more freely on the owner's inert desires I.E. Owner is engaged in a conversation they don't want to be in, the animal will outright turn-tail and run.

But you see. Something funny happened. The rings broke. So the Vongola rings were combined with the box weapons and got fixed with a handy dandy power upgrade. They became 'Vongola Ore' which, when input with a whooole bunch of dying will flames in a really dramatic fashion they became the 'Vongola gear'. Yamamoto's will take the form of a necklace. The necklace basically has the same function as the ring, only now provides a Sailor Moon-esque transformation sequence different weapons. Will be elaborated on later.

Vongola "Box" Weapons: Box weapons come in small boxes that could fit into the palm of one's hand, however because of some 'wibbly wobbly timey-wimey' things, Yamamoto's box weapons now come fused with his Vongola Gear Necklace thingy... yet are still called box weapons. We don't ask questions in Shounen series anymore.

Jirou: Jirou takes the form of an Akita, a classic Japanese guard dog. It's got teeth, claws, it's pretty big, and he helps Yamamoto hold swords. After his recent power-upgrade, Jirou can also cambio-forma with one of Yamamoto's swords... and makes the sword capable of smelling which is handy when you have sneaky hiding opponeents. And that's about it. For all intensive purposes, Jirou is a big cute fluffy dog.

Kojirou: Kojirou takes the form of a small swallow, and like most things with Yamamoto what you see is not exactly what you get. While the large weaponized guard dog is essentially a dog, the little tiny bird is, in fact, what is going the screw you over. When it flies and flits about it can dowse foes from overhead with rain flames, or it can fly around them for a more concentrated attack. It can also fuse with Yamamoto's sword to upgrade enough to channel rain flames more efficiently.

Ugetsu's four irregular swords: These four sword come out with Jirou, and they consist of one long sword and three short swords. To most this would be an unwieldy and clumsy sword combination, however, Yamamoto's height and build allow him to do so more efficiently. And I know this because I read junk of samurai as one of my many nerdly hobbies

Cambio Forma Version Vongola Gear: While Yamamoto still has access to his other cambio forma and weapons, with the Vongola gear, the weapons he summons forth are more personalized for him and not simply a predecessors hand-me-downs. Jirou and Kojirou fuse with his two swords and he can utilize them for a number of combination techniques.

Oops I just accidentally a hole in your wall: Aside from all the amazing shiny shounen lasers, Yamamoto is tremendously strong, and occasionally has issues holding back, especially when it comes to anything baseball related. For example, when someone asks him to 'toss then something' he will pitch it at them full throttle like it were a baseball. He has imbedded a ball into a concrete wall by accident like this.

Sample Entry: Because every game with a Yamamoto is destined for one of these posts sooner or later

Sample Entry Two:
Yamamoto looked out the window over the surrounding town below. He could hear the people in the room talking, some arguing, other's panicking, but he just remained calm and placid on the outside. He was only in the bloody hospital scrubs and his jacket, he had been just about to run for his clothes when... well, he passed out and ended up here he guessed. Part of him wondered if it was his fault for pushing himself so hard, if he hadn't passed out then he wouldn't have ended up here right? But this could have also been something Byakuran did, maybe that was why he had passed out? But then why did he give him the Vongola ore?

The teen stifled a sigh, he didn't want to bring any attention to himself to the others in the room. He still needed to get his thoughts together. Everything happened so fast, being attacked in the changing room, the surgery, the sudden healing, and he was up and on his way to try and help deal with the crisis with the Simon Family... and now he wasn't. Not too hard when he thought about it simply like that, it was just a very abrupt change. He could manage, he was sure, he just need a moment to think. He was scared, but otherwise okay. Still a bit whoozy maybe, not sure the healing did much to get rid of the fog from the pain killers. But he could walk. He could feel his legs again and everything. He would be okay. He wasn't sure he was only surrounded by strangers here either. There were probably more people in other rooms. Maybe his friends were here too, and where would they be if he was just moping like this? They were probably scared too.

Finally he stepped back and turned to face the people in the room with him. He could face them now, talk to them, things couldn't be as bad as they seemed.

Background/History:The girl is the flame that shall ignite the world.

Personality:Well I want a puppy, but that doesn't mean I'm going to get one!
Elizabeth is a young woman who has lived her entire life isolated within a tower at the heart of Columbia. While trapped, she has lived a life devoid of human contact and with only the friendship (and protection) of a giant mechanical bird known as Songbird to keep her company over the years. Her only real knowledge of the world comes from the books that fills the library of her tower, what she could see from her windows and if she was lucky—the tears she could open into alternate worlds. Despite her continued wish for freedom and her ability to actually make that a reality, Elizabeth would always return back to her tower with the hope that she would be returning to the family she did not know. Nevertheless she would always return to disappointment and with only the Songbird to greet her, a friend she began to resent as her warden as the years progressed.

When Booker literally drops into her world, she greets him with suspicion (and thrown books) before wonderment overtakes her at the realization that he is a real, breathing human that she can reach out and touch. The first one she can truly remember meeting, and although her excitement is short lived as Songbird attacks, Elizabeth begins to realize the truth about her life. That it has been nothing short of an experiment and she has been seen simply as a specimen to be poke and prodded, not even referred by name. It leave her disgusted and more determined than ever to escape.

It is only when the pair escape the tower and Elizabeth is able to interact with the world that she had only seen from far away before. Like with Booker, she greets the world with an almost child-like innocence and enjoyment. She dances with other citizens, skips rocks, tries to pick up medicine balls, eats cotton candy and just generally tries to enjoy herself for the first time in her life. It is clear that the years of isolation did nothing to dampen her spirit or impulsiveness and she is able to demonstrate her intellect gained from all the literature she has read through quotes and trivia.

She is naturally curious about everything, unafraid to try new things and willing to learn if the situation should present itself. In her years locked away, she has become a proficient at picking locks along with code breaking and is almost amused sometimes by the locks and codes she deems too easy. Of course, despite her immense knowledge, Elizabeth does not have the life experience and in a way can be extremely naive and reckless about things. She never takes into consideration her value to the people of Columbia until Booker is forced to kill her would-be kidnappers, causing her to runaway from him until he is able to explain to her why he was forced to do that and why he will be forced to continue doing so until they can escape. It's clear she dislikes killing but as the pair continues their journey through Columbia, it's clear she begins to understand why it has to be this way even though it clearly weighs heavily on her.

Despite the frustrations and worry she faces, she remains brave in the face of danger and uses her keen eye and powers to help Booker through his fights. She is compassionate and is deeply hurt by the suffering she sees in Columbia and truly believes in the Vox Populi's cause (likening their struggle to Les Misérables) and very much believes in the need for equality among the citizens of Columbia. When she sees the nature of their revolution firsthand, she begins to deeply regret her actions in helping create a world where it was possible for them to gain weapons in the first place. In a way, it helps her mature but she has to do so in the face of things she never believed to be possible from high in her tower or lost in her books. It hurts her a lot but she knows she has to keep moving if she is ever to gain her escape from Columbia.

No doubt, her heart is big and can be almost selfless in her actions but Elizabeth is nevertheless capable of anger, hatred and killing. When she discovers Booker has been lying to her, she does not hesitate to knock him in the head with a wrench and flee his company and as she learns more about herself, she does begin to feel hate toward the people that kept her locked away and what they attempted to turn her into. Later on, in order to keep Daisy Fitzroy from killing a child, she stabs the resistance leader much to her horror. That horror is completely gone by the time Booker rescues her from Comstock house after months of torture, she ruthlessly opens a tear to the American Midwest being ravaged by a tornado and does not close it until the head doctors are pulled through. It is in this moment that she admits that she will not rest and will not leave Columbia until Comstock is dead, mostly for the things he did and will do but mostly because of the things he did to her in order to try and groom her.

Needless to say, the world she experiences leaves her bitter but her heart does not change, she still shows that same kindness and warmth underneath the burden she has begun to face.

All in all, Elizabeth is a young woman that is still learning. In ways she is still almost like a child but in many more, she is extremely wise beyond her years. She has a sense of humor, calling out Booker on more than one occasion and can butt heads with people from time to time. After all, she is opinionated and isn't afraid to speak her mind on things she believes to be wrong. Her determination is almost unfaltering and although she is still desperately learning to deal with the consequences of her actions, she is focused on her goals and doing what she wants for once. She is still learning to come to terms with the reality of the world she so lacked experience in but it has not changed her curious nature and willingness to learn even if her innocence has suffered for it. Elizabeth is understandably loyal though, and she is willing to help those in need if she can.

Background/History: Wikia

In a church with his two siblings and a foster mother, Ragna was at peace with his childhood life. Being the older brother, he looked out for his younger brother Jin, and his little sister Saya. He took care of them, and they both were dependent on him as well. If there was a sibling squabble between his brother and sister, Ragna would break it up, as he usually did when Jin and Saya got into arguments. He always cared for Saya, taking her side when Jin usually bullies her. One day, Saya became ill, and Ragna was out gathering water. While on his way to return home, he hears an explosion, smoke coming from the direction he was headed. Ragna returns to the church, currently burning down before his eyes. Desperately looking for his family, he runs into two people--one who was unfamiliar.

Jin and Yuuki Terumi burned down the church, and Terumi then severed Ragna's right arm, kidnapping his sister along the way. The rain sets, leaving Ragna alone with his home in crisps, hearing the sweet sounds of his sister's music box. Some time later, Ragna is bitten by Rachel Alucard, in turn the color of his hair turns from blonde to snow white, saving his life in the process. The Azure Grimoire is used in place of his missing arm, and Jubei, one of the Six Heroes, appears before an older teen Ragna, in order to train him to control the Azure. Years past, and his training is finally complete. Ragna, now powerful enough to seek out the one man who destroyed his life, decides that he is ready to depart on his own. Before he leaves, Jubei hands Ragna the red coat that once belonged to the hero of the Dark War, the one who stopped the Black Beast 100 years ago, Bloodedge. He also gives him Blood Scythe, the sword that also belonged to Bloodedge. With these gifts in hand, Ragna sets off.

New Years Eve, 2199. Ragna has destroyed countless NOL branches and bases, the NOL being the world's "military" in simpler terms, arriving at the 13th Hierarchical City of Kagutsuchi to destroy the base there. He has gathered a huge bounty on his head, and known to be dangerous around the world. Vigilantes have caught wind of his name in numbers, and some have heard of the "Azure Grimoire" he possesses, gauging interest in meeting Ragna the Bloodedge. Whether it be with the intent to kill or the intent to gather the Azure Grimoire.

This begins Calamity Trigger. More information leading to and past Continuum Shift is provided in the wikia link.

Personality: Hearing the name "The Grim Reaper: Ragna the Bloodedge," is bound to give shivers to the casual population of the BlazBlue universe. To each their own, as they say, as many of the citizens have their own personal views on the criminal who "terrorizes" the city. Some cry that he enjoys hearing the screams of helpless despair, murdering anyone who appears before him, reaping their souls apart; a cold-hearted killer.

And if you happen to come across Ragna, you'd probably have enough to believe that he was exactly like that.

Ragna the Bloodedge comes off as rude, easily angered/angry, sarcastic, and unapproachable. He always seems to have a goal in mind, giving off that he doesn't want to be bothered by anyone--and it's true. Dependent only on himself, he remains sardonic towards anyone who'd try and speak with him, and never holds his tongue when it comes to being as blunt and vulgar as possible.

His will is second to none though; as mostly powered by rage, Ragna has more than enough of an ability and common sense to fully take care of himself and the strength to follow through with his own decisions. His stubbornness takes him far and wide, never allowing himself to give up on anything. He knows this, and fully understands the responsibility he has to bear on his actions, and he knows it weighs on him alone.

Which brings back up the public identity of "Ragna the Bloodedge"--mainly, his personality of being a gruff jerk, is mainly created by the public. He keeps up this face and follows through with it to everyone, only because he knows that's what he has created based on his actions. But aside from that, Ragna holds his youth nature close. Deep down, he's still a big brother--so there's instances of his softer side showing to either the people he cares for, or for people in need of help. Despite how it's displayed, Ragna does have the capabilities of caring for people. In one instance, Ragna had spared a life that Litchi Faye-Ling had begged him to, and promised that he wouldn't harm him. This side of him shines the most when dealing with his sibling, Jin Kisaragi, who's out for his blood. When Ragna defeats Jin, he always spares him, opting to leave him be than to ever finish him off once and for all.

The catalyst that made him this way goes back to the burning of the church. Ever since then, Ragna had harbored a burning hated for Yuuki Terumi, the man who took his arm and his life away. In a sense, it was him who made Ragna into who he is today, and he will stop at nothing to get his earned revenge.

As mentioned before, Ragna keeps his youth close. May it be intentionally or not, it will always be a part of him; maybe even closer than he may know. This is referring to his menial tasks he likes to do, as one of his favorite hobbies is cooking. With the right ingredients, Ragna could possibly make anything he'd like, but due to his general laziness and not being able to stay in one place for too long, he prefers to eat out at a dine in, usually enjoying a casual meat dish. He is also very afraid of ghosts, and it's implied reason is because they're spiritual; not something that Ragna would be able to simply attack head on. One could argue that Terumi had placed some kind of ghost-phobia onto Ragna, ever since his attack on his home.

He also has a strong dislike of needles, and frequently finds himself hanging around "younger" girls, causing the people around him to think he's a lolicon.

Abilities/Powers:

  • Soul Eater: With his weapon of choice Blood Scythe, Ragna gains the ability to take the life force out of his opponent with each slash of his blade. This is his Drive attack, and in most cases the life he takes from each attack is little-to-low middle amount--in it's dormant form. When awakened, Ragna's blade becomes an actual scythe, powered by his incredible control of seithr (which is the magic element that comes from his world). In this form, Ragna can take away even more life from his enemies, changing the amount to middle-to-large.

  • Azure Grimoire: The Ars Armagus Ragna carries in his right arm. Ars Armagus is a stronger way to manipulate seithr, and to use ars, you need a grimoire. With the power of the Azure Grimoire that grants the user strength, Ragna can use it to active his Blood Kain, enhancing his overall strength and seithr control, allowing him to be more versatile. There's a cost however, in which that Ragna has to give up some of his life force consistently until Blood Kain wears off. With the Azure, Ragna can also perform moves like Dead Spike, Gauntlet Hades, and Hell's Fang, all moves which he adds seithr to to damage his opponent.

  • The Black Beast: Ragna is the "body" of the Black Beast, and is where most of his seithr power and control comes from. As mentioned before, Dead Spike makes use of his seithr, however he also summons parts of the Black Beast within him, using one of the beast's heads as it's main method of dealing damage. It also comes out within other attacks listed above, ranging from the beast's claws to even it's breath. One of Ragna's more damaging attacks, Carnage Scissors uses two large slashes from his blade, along with summoning the beast's tail. Pulling this all together, Ragna can transform his entire body into darkness, along with his weapon to suck the life out of his enemy, and then blow them away entirely.

  • The Idea Engine: Ragna possesses a fake Azure Grimoire. While the Grimoire allows him to be stronger, it doesn't hold true to the real Azure. In Continuum Shift, Terumi, the original creator of the Azure Grimoire, locks down his fake one. He faces certain death, until Murakumo Unit Lambda-11 takes the hit. She passes down the Idea Engine to Ragna, something that had belonged to her originally. This engine allows Ragna to negate any restrictions, and access the true Azure.

This aside, Ragna also has a couple of ars magus abilities that goes through day-to-day usage, such as an ability to conceal himself within the ars so he can't be seen. These are minor and weak compared to most, and they don't usually help him in battle, but are seen as a mere convenience.

Items/Weapons: Keeping his clothes, weapon, and his silver bracelet.

Sample Entry: --amn, are people that cryptic that they can't tell me how to turn this thing on?! [The feed begins white, closing in on his spiky hair. Frustrated and full of gruff, he adjusts himself to fit within the screen.]

Okay...so that's that I guess. [Ahem!] I'm not looking to waste any more time than you are, so...let's make it quick, okay? I lost a cat. Kaka clan if that helps anyone? Well whatever, if you can't find her, no problem here. She goes by Tao if you wanna know. [His voice lowers a bit, as if he was simply talking amongst himself.] God, she's probably hungry isn't she... ["But you know, when is she isn't?" he muffles under his coat.]

Anyway, if she eats your face, that's probably her. Good luck to you, godspeed, and all that. You'll definitely need it... [The camera is then moved to face the floor decor, followed by his personal commentary.]

Next time, I'll seriously rip her to shreads, I swear to--! [Cut.]

Sample Entry Two: And the moon gave a favor to the man, who laid about in the night sky. The light was bright, gaining a groan and an arm to cover an eye. Ragna stared, letting the wind whistle through his ears, remembering that he was still alive.

"...Not tonight, it seems," he speaks, and doesn't move. The man humors himself, juggling his reminiscing along a nightmare, a constant reminder of the family he lost and the family he had. The two are different. The exact moment the man lost his brother and sister are forever sketched into his memory, along with the moments of when he had them. And the culprit? The one who had taken everything away from him?

He smashes grass--just the simple thought of his face was enough to anger. A grumbled curse, the man in red was awake.

"It's not going to be up for much longer. Back on the road with me..."

He had put up an "ars magus" that shielded him from sight. The concealing ars would hide him away from plain sight, to avoid any numerous attempts of taking the bounty from his head.

The active rank SS criminal, Ragna the Bloodedge, takes his initiative.

Abilities/Powers:Booker, are you afraid of God?
Elizabeth possess the power to open rips across dimensional time and space known as tears.

Described by her as a sort of "wish fulfillment", she is able to open these doors to alternate worlds filled by events and objects that do not exist in the current world she occupies. By manipulating them, she is able to exploit them and summon objects from these alternate worlds such as health, salt, weapons, ammunition and pieces of scenery that Booker is able to make use of in battle. Other examples include when she opens a tear inside an elevator, revealing an open window so she wouldn't have to kill a bee. Later on, when she running away from Booker, she makes use of these tears to slow him down by opening them to reveal a cascade of balloons and streamers, a marching band and even a train.

She can also use these tears to transport Booker and herself to alternate timelines and realities. Timelines where certain people have not died, or timelines where certain things have happened that seemed impossible to accomplish in another. At her current state, she is unable to take them back to the original world which makes going through the tears very risky. Perhaps the biggest drawback is the state of flux she can cause on people, the mind will immediately begin to try and make new memories where none exist in this new world and it causes terrible nosebleeds of them as they try to make sense of things. Even more traumatic are the people who have died in one world and are alive in another, it leads them to remembering two realities of being both alive and dead and being unable to separate them.

Although not definitely stated, she seems to have trouble opening and closing tears when in a panic. She also mentions that tears have a way of appearing when she is anxious.

Despite her powers being impressive by normal standards, this is only a small fraction of them. She mentions that as a child she was capabel of not only opening tears, but creating them too. As she grew up, she lost this power but not because she simply forgot but simply because she was unable to due to the siphon built within her tower leashing her powers. When the siphon is destroyed later in the game, her powers return and she becomes both omniscient and omnipotent; able to see all of the infinite timelines and capable of opening doors to them with utter ease.

While she is inside of Haven, following what was decided with the last time she was in the game, instead of tearing into alternate versions of Haven she will instead be capable of opening tears to the worlds of characters represented in the game with permission. Much like in Columbia, Elizabeth will also capable of bringing small items from these worlds but is very limited on how often she can do this and can only do so in battle.

Outside of this, she is also a very skilled at picking locks provided she has the lockpicks needed to do so. She is also a talented codebreaker, painter, singer, dancer and knows about a great deal of literature. She also has a grasp of medicine, partly in thanks to fighting across Columbia with Booker.
